hockeyfan,
The fighting comes down to the league you play in. The Empire and EJ are trying to move kids to College hockey which isn't big on the fighting either. When you fight in the EJ/Empire I believe you get 5 mins, and gone from game.. Then suspended for next game. The AJ/MET promote fighting because they allow the fighting even at practice/tryouts then you get a penalty and return to that game and get to play the next day.
Iv'e seen more fights in high school hockey in one season than I have seen in two years of empire. I actually have only witnessed one fight in the Empire.
I have never heard a kid in the Empire talk about fighting leading into a game on our team or any other team. I know parents who have kids that played Met/AJ and the kids are usually lining up fights and talking about them the week prior to the game. If those kids would be gone the rest of the game and the following game they would probably think twice about it.

thats a good policy if that is what it is. The competition in the AJ i s or was good. WE played EJ teams and played right with them most of the time or beat them. If the product is good, the scouts and colleges will come out to see it.
