The Minutemen Jr. B team competes in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League, arguably the strongest Jr. B league in the country. The MET league recently finished 1st and 2nd at this year's Jr. B Nationals.

The Minutemen Jr. B team has made the playoffs in each of the organization's four year existence. They have also made it to the USA Hockey National Championships in both 2006 and 2007. In addition, the team was the MET's Keegan Cup Champions in 2007.

The primary focus of the Minutemen Jr. B team is to develop, promote, and advance players to higher levels of play, as many of our former players have moved on to the USHL, NAHL, AJHL, NCAA, and ACHA. The team has a practice schedule of (3) on-ice sessions, (2) dryland sessions, and (1) film session per week to go along with a 55+ game schedule. The Minutemen also attend some of the most highly scouted events on the East Coast, such as the Pre-Draft Showcase, the NECDL Showcase, and the EJHL Showcase.

The Minutemen also have an Academic Advising and Player Placement Program that offers services such as college advising, tutoring, SAT prep, scouting reports, and individual game films.

We are seeking talented and highly motivated players who are looking to advance to Jr. A and the collegiate hockey ranks. Spots are available at all positions.

Good God, I hope so. I don't know of any hit put on me. If you have inside information, please let me know.

I'm obviously kidding, but I certainly understand your comment. I don't know what happened last year, but I am extremely excited and committed to this team. I have no plans to go anywhere unless the Flyers are willing to pay me the (12) million that I asked for.

If you have any questions about the Minutemen Jr. B program, please feel free to contact me anytime.

What happened? I heard that there was a problem with the MM 98s, and that basically that team is being folded. Is Paul out with the Jr. team as well? If so, that is very unfortunate for the MM Jr. players.

PC is a very good coach. Good person too, which counts for more. He will bounce back. There will be opportunities for good coaches. The players are the ones really left holding an empty bag at the end of the day. I look at many of the Jr players heading down to IceLine with Dave Dorman now. The Jr. Flyers were/have been having trouble getting critical mass for their JrA/JrB programs. This should at least allow the Jr Flyer JrB team to get fleshed out, though the JrA team is a different beast. If Dave does not have enough to fill out his JrA team at this point, he may have a hard time getting enough quality players to be competitive.

what is the story? have both teams folded or has jd simply taken over the coaching duties of the jr. b team? hard to believe that over the past ten years oaks has gone from having MM teams at all levels as well as colonials , to their present state.

crusader,

It's not hard to believe. If you knew JD you'd know that he is just flat out a bad people person. I'll leave it at that. He is however a very knowlegable hockey person, which was his saving grace (so to speak). If he could just learn to TRY to get along with others (instead it's his way or the HWY), the MM program would have eventually been the gold standard in the area. Instead it has constantly been in turmoil because JD rips it apart and starts over again.
