the lasalle hill game was exciting but obviously not nearly as exciting as the zamboni fire. hill came out strong in front of packed house at their palace. pyne was outstanding all night long but especially in thefirst ten minutes when lasalle was clearly outplayed. near the end of the first zoldy scored a rugged goal( his specialty) which righted the ship. hill tied it in the second. berkle was ejected on a rough hit and lasalle killed off a 5 minute pnalty to end the second. early in the third schmidt scored on a rocket with a wrister from the circle and then sybert added one late in the third. hill scored with two minutes left and pyne helped the team hang on to the end. great win against a strong team especially without wallin, obrien and only half a game of berkle.

The ridley vrs haverford game was a mess. Ridley came out on fire with haverford coming out flat ridley dominated from the drop of the puck to the end of the game. Haverford needs to step it up on goaltending and also defense if they wish to have a 4th flyers cup and cannot rely on one line doing all the scoring.

Springfield (D), Marple, and Henderson are all A, but they are the only teams undefeated in A / AA. Oh, and Episcopal is 2-0 in A.

Big games for all three teams coming up. Springfield v Strath Haven. Strath Haven used to reside at the bottom of the standings but this year they are 4-1-1.

Marple has a big game with Perk Valley. That will be a good test...will Marple win?

Henderson v WC East, always a big rivalry. I don't know the records but it's always back and forth. The stands should be pretty full, the game should be hot.

The obvious reason for Haven's success this year is party because of the age of most of the players as well as Slagis coming back to play HS hockey

Springfield was up 4-2 in the third when I left to check out some of the other games. I never did hear the final score.
