What's with no ice cut for the entire game? AAA got cuts after each period. C'mon show a little respect!!

REALLY??? That is rediculous especially considering how arbitrary the division are. I mean seriously Stoga lost to a team 12-2 that didnt even make the Flyers cup final for A.

The reason for the ice cuts in the AAA game was so that the CN8 broadcast could run commercials.

The reason their was no cut after the second OT was because the AAA game was going on Live at 4pm. They couldnt go live with the zamboni cutting the ice during the AA game.

Don't shoot the messenger. These were not my decisions....I'm merely telling you why it went the way it went.

To expand on what raha said above, I don't think any reasonable observer would argue that there is any "quality" difference between AA and A. Perk. Valley, as he said, beat Conestoga 12-3 late in the season, as well as twice at Christmas. In fact, I think it is successfully arguable (sic) that the FC "A" Division was more difficult to navigate than the "AA" Division. Many on this forum have said, accurately in my opinion, that the top echelon of the A Division could easily compete with the top end of AA. That was demonstrated repeatedly throughout the season and the ICSHL play-offs.

It costs dollars to put on a production. Tough enough to sell ads for one broadcast. Mostly everyone who valued the outcome of the A and AA games were probably there anyway.

DickyDunn --
Do you believe that (viewership comment) even though the AAA schools are, as a rule, much smaller than the A and AA? If so, can you tell me why? The demographics would seem to indicate otherwise.
This is an honest, un-loaded, question. Thanks.

In regard to the leagues, I would say that for the most part the AAA, AA, and A teams are all fairly equal, with LaSalle being the exception. LaSalle is clearly the best team of the bunch, but beyond them, it seems that all the teams are pretty evenly matched.

That 15-1 college lacrosse game on CN8 was way more exciting than a 3OT hockey game.
