Can someone explain why in the "A" Playoffs, LaSalle A in the South division got in (and lost) over Upper Moreland from the North division when Upper Moreland had a much better record?

Would they not have enough players or something?

I believe the Majority of Upper Morelands games came against weaker teams like Norristown (Two wins) and Lansdale Catholic (Not many more than two wins)

LaSalle IV played in the stronger division with PW, Wiss, Upper Dublin and Springfield....they didnt play the same schedules.

At Varsity A, each team played the teams in their own division 4 times each, and the other division once. At the beginning of year it was determined that all teams in the South made the playoffs with only the top team in the North getting in.

Just as an FYI Upper Moreland went 0 - 5 against the South division teams with an aggregrate score of 7 GF and 42 GA.

Still kind of weird, but it makes much more sense now that it was something agreed upon before the season.

Thanks for clearing it up.
