Henderson is not getting the credit they deserve. They were going through some internal problems as a team early into the season and dropped two quickly, but in my eyes, the best line in the area of latta beren and cottle is not getting any credit that they deserve. They were one of the lines that dominated the league last year.
I agree with you that the Latta, Cottle and Baren line is one of, if not the most talented lines in the area. Talented yes, but from what I've seen of Henderson play (WCE, D'town East, Shanahan & Rustin), they tend to seem indifferent in their defensive play, and Henderson's defensemen haven't played that well as well. I still have Perk Valley, Kennett and for now Rustin ahead of them at the A level. Also, I've been watching some of the Central league games lately (I saw LM play Radnor on Fri), and the pace of those games isn't close to what I see in the ICSHL South division so far. Are you seeing this as well Matt? That being said, Springfield just knocked off Shanahan's AAA team this Friday.
I am seeing it, the Central league is down a bit this year.
A Central team (Radnor, Springfield, Penncrest) Has held the #1 spot at A for as long as I can remember.....C.B. West held it for a while three years ago, but other than that it was usually one of the three Central teams.
This month, Sprigfield and Penncrest made the rankings but at #4 and #7.

The central league I agree is down this year, (especially Penncrest) but I still feel they are probably one of the strongest divsions. The A South and A North have gotten stronger and may have a few teams that are better than the teams in the central league, but overall the central league is still pretty strong, and I think any team in the central league is capable of an upset of some top teams. I saw some A South and Central games this season and both divisions look pretty even; in fact this is most even its seemed in years. This could be the year another "A" level team outside the central league could take the flyers cup, but I wouldnt count the central league yet, its still early in the season.
I agree, the central division is not as strong as it has been, but last friday Henderson tied kennett and ewas winning with a minute and a hlaf left, and last wednesday Henderson played PV in a scrimmage and won 9-2. Varsity A should be very interesting this year.
tell me now so i will know..how many more times will this scrimmage game be coming up in this forum? The game shows up nowhere in the standings and it counts for nothing..please supply me with Henderson's coach's number so we can play them again..with a full squad.

okay, the game shows up nowhere and it isn't in the standings, that doesn't take away from the fact that henderson won. It wasn't even a close game, i mean come on it was 9-2. I understand you were missing some players, but henderson had a short bench as well
Yes, this scrimmage took place, and Henderson won 9-2. But really, who cares? It was a scrimmage and it means nothing in the standings, nothing towards the flyers cup, and it means nothing period. No matter who won or lost, it doesnt matter. The only thing the scrimmage did was maybe give Henderson some confidence and momentum, but im sure PV is unhappy and will be looking to avenge this embarrassing loss. The point is, there is no sense is arguing about who is better because you cant determine that from this game, so there is really no point in bringing it up anymore when discussing these two teams. The only thing that matters at this point when comparing the two teams is that PV is still undefeated, while Henderson is not. I would like to see the two teams play head to head though in actual game. Maybe a flyers cup game preview? who knows?
Pv had their JV "B" goalie playing...a 9-2 game would sound reasonable seeing that henderson had all their top players there and Pv didnt. This was a SCRIMMAGE, not a real game. Henderson has already lost two league games prior to that and hasnt showed me anything except that they have one line that carries the team
Okay to answer the "JV B" statement, don't say its JV B likey they have a JV A, that is thier JV team, my team once played Garnet Valley twice in 2005 with our JV goalie and lost 3-2 both times and GV was a better team then us.
IT might have been a scrimage and you might have been missing players, but as of right now i would say Henderson is better then PV due to the fact they beat them. Don't take that win away from henderson they can only beat them that PV put infrot of them, and they did that
Henderson is getting enough credit, and PV lost plain and simple. This is a dumb topic everyone should move on.

That was exactly my point, was to move on becuase in the long run it will be like that scrimmage never happened as far as the standings and flyers cup is concerned. I tend to agree with hockey40, Henderson has to show more. They do have a good team and they do have one of the best lines around, but they cant keep using that worthless scrimage as a backbone to their argument as why we should give them more respect. Henderson has two losses and PV is undefeated, thats why PV is getting more respect. Drop the scrimmage.
All this P.V. talk is nonsense. Henderson was missing some players also. Since it was a scrimmage, Henderson dressed a few Escaped Mental Patients, Carnival Rejects and players from the Little Sisters of the Poor just to rub it in.
Hey Matt, I have seen the Carnival Rejects play and they are not bad. The former Ferris Wheel operator is a very good goalie and the Fun House operator can really skate. He is kind of scary looking, but he can skate. I am sure they were a big asset for Henderson. I hope pvhockey77 gets the Henderson Coaches phone number so he can schedule another game. I want to see the Escape Mental Patients play.
