I heard 4-1 and lopsided shots favoring Rustin.

Hopefully no one switched the home team set up either.

The hockey gods are smiling.

Says 4-1 on the Flyers cup site.

And lopsided shots is the only way they win. haha

Looks like Rustin pretty much dominated. From the game details it looks like PV only got 9 shots off while Rustin peppered PV with 33 shots. They must have been in the O zone all night long and played defense like there was no tomorrow! Congratulations to Nick Russo and the Rustin team!!! Go get the States for the East!!!!

WC East 5
Shawnee 4 - OT

Unfortunately, bad final goal to a very good game. Young goalie for Shawnee played really well.

Sutherland had a lot of huge glove saves and stopped a couple breakaways. He kept it close.

Any details on the East game?

Sutherland kept the game close like RYCUR said, maybe a ton of glove saves, stopped Igantuk on a few. Perk Valley didn't seem to play with any sense of urgency, at first with about 6:30 left to play I took it as them not panicing since they have come from behind in every FC game so far, but they just didn't have an answer for Rustin's speed. Knodle seemed to break up any loose puck in the Rustin end and kept a ton of shots of a weak Rustin goalie.

The east game was a very fun one to watch, Shawnee impressed me with how well their first line moved the puck and made a lot of passes deep in their zone across the crease to beat Donzanti, who didn't play outstanding but still made a bunch of great saves. The goal in OT was off a Shawnee player it seemed to come of the end of his stick wrong when he was trying to move it out from in front of the net and it just took his goalie by suprise. 2 West Chester's in the final...

i was at the rustin game, and in the 1st period it was pretty even and perk valley was stayin in the rustin zone most of the period, rustin was able to go up 2-1 after the 1st... the 2nd period was a very good period for rustin as they had the puck in the offensive end for most of the period but perks goalie was very good, i said to my friend "rustin needs a goal here to put it away" because pv is a deep team and luckly rustin put in a goal with 30 secounds left... it was a good game to watch, spectacular glove saves by PV's goalie, hes very good... the battle of west goshon and Thorton, PA in the finals, West chester Henderson is the only west chester team, but im really pulling for Rustin on saturday, good luck

actually sir you are incorrect - Thorton, Pa is not West Chester, PA - Rustin is located in Thorton, PA... West Chester Henderson is/will always be, the West Chester school, founded before 1900, it was known as West Chester High School, so yes West Chester B. Reed Henderson High School, is and will always be the only West Chester school

Read it again. I dont think hockeyman was making a "mean spirited dig," i think that he was talking about mailing addresses.

Hockey parents are nuts man.

Great night for West Chester...congrats to both East and Rustin!

I only saw the Rustin/PV game....Rustin played great in both ends of the ice. Also kudos to Rob Sutherland, the PV goalie. Quite honestly, he was the only one who showed up to play tonight for PV.
