How big is the loss of Schmidt to LaSalle (see below)? Can they still take the Flyers Cup? States? Are they deep enough or are they cooked?
VFMM U18 lost to honeybaked 4-3 in shootout. schmidt, moyer, berkle scored. great performance seeing they went up with only 7 fwds. and 5 d. schmidt broke his wrist at he end of the game. lost to cya 7-5 tyson a hat. berkle ejected for hit from behind played 2 periods with 5 fwds 5 d one d moved up on rotation. 5-5 with 10 min. to go ran out of gas. play consolation tomorrow then home to heal.
That's unfortunate, the loss of Schmidt, but I still think they're plenty deep to get through Flyers Cup. Depends on how bad the break is and when Adam can get back. You have to remember they haven't really been challenged by a team they'll see in Flyers Cup this year thus far. I think the closest game they played was probably the 7-3 game at Hatfield against Malvern Prep. Then again, on any given net the puck can start bouncing in odd ways. But I think their talent level throughout the roster can eclipse the loss of one player. On a side note, a nice effort by VFMM out in Ann Arbor against top notch competition - one shoot out loss away from making the medal round.
I agree with plym_20 although Schmidt is one of their top forwards (2nd best IMHO) its not as if Berkle, Tyson, Denzci, Zoldy are 2nd rate forwards, and they still have a strong goaltender and 3 outstanding defensmen in Pacel, Lessig and Varley.

Jigga is right - Schmidt is probably #2, but forwards 3-6 or 7 are still better than most teams 2 or 3. It'll be interesting to see how long Schmidt will be out. Flyers Cup final is when, about March 25 or so? That would give him over a month to heal. In college I had what they originally thought was a broken wrist but ended up being just a bad sprain and some stretched ligaments, and missed roughly a month. Hopefully it's the top hand on his stick and a minor break or strain.
Well the Pine rider had more points than Krulikowski, more goals, a better +/- and three times as many shots on goal while playing in more games. I don't think "pine rider" is an accurate description.

pine rider is too harsh, twas exaggerration. however, goal stats arent too important when you are a defensive defensemen like krulikowski. i would just rate it like that. to each his own. i apologize for the brashness of my closing statement above. crusader, what do you mean by liberal. im not disagreeing, i am just curious.
