the thing with the chicago showcase is really only half, at the most, of the top players come out. most of the areas best players have been playing hockey 6 days a week for the last 7-8 months, so many are burnt out, and would like the time off to enjoy spring.

The thing is that yes players want time off, but its also that it is all political. It's all based on where you play for high school, and where you play for club.

Also how much more exposure do some of the best players need if they play for a tier I midget team or junior B or C team. Isn't that kind of the reason for playing at that level.

the chicago showcase is a ton of exposure, that cant be denied. a few kids from the jersey team got nahl offers last season from it. also a few years ago, christian jensen from the jersey team was taken in the late rounds of the nhl draft, based solely on his chicago showcase performance. there are many scouts from all levels at the tournament,

their are some good jr b players out their but jr c players are jsut good high school players. jr b and c dont get looked at as much as everyone thinks.not alot of those players go far with their career. theirs only a few jr a players that will go d1 or d3 in this area
