The reason there were only three scores reported in the Times on Saturday is because Delco hockey coaches/team management refuse to call in scores. That is an ongoing battle I have had for 10 years with local coaches.

The Times will run every game report if thyey are reported (like other sports). Currently, the only teams that call, fax, or email in game reports are Penncrest, Springfield, Marple Newtown, Ridley, O'Hara (II), and sometimes Strath Haven and Garnet Valley (sorry if I missed anyone). Otherwise, you guys only have yourselves to blame for that.

Every other sport calls in game reports--including swimming, wrestling, hoops, baseball, etc. The Times office takes in the reports and generates a summary from those. I rarely take those reports as I am offsite almost 100% of the time (except during the Flyers Cup when we try to update the brackets daily). If you want to see more scores in the paper put the pressure on your coaches and team management. I've gotten reassurance those reports will be run in the paper if submitted--so put some pressure on you team officials to make it happen.
