Id probably pencil Roman in at #2 right now.
I think Lasalle will undoubtedly finish 1st. Then I think the 2, 3, 4 spots will be 3 of Ryan, Roman, HGP and OHara. I would be surprised if the top 5 didnt look something like that by the end of the season. Salesianum looks like they have a good roster, then Malvern and Judge would probably round out the top 8 in some form.

Roman plays Judge next Wednesday. I think that should narrow the choice down to Ryan or the winner of that game. I would probably lean towards #2 Ryan and the winner of Judge Roman #3. But you know the deal Matt you are going to have 2 teams mad at you either way. This of course is simply based on results. On paper I think Roman is the next best team after LaSalle (of the 3 teams we are talking about)
But they don't play games on paper do they?

i have seen all the above except roman play and i believe that ryan may have the best team. looks like their goaltending is adequate, they appear t have a good number of mature kids and quite frankly their one defenseman will cerrtainly make a large difference in any close game. hgp is always dangerous however they are young andlost a good deal of talent . ohara still has several quality players but appear to be a little thin. the year is young and you neverknow who will really gel as the year progreses. it will be fun to see how it develops.

Well I guess with Tennant beating Father Judge that takes them out of the mix
100% those who rank the teams at the levels Matt spoke do NOT see every game. In college football for instance the polls are done by coaches and reporters. There is no way they can watch 75 games a week and still do their day job. Coaches are only watching the tapes of teams in their conference and the teams that they will play that season.

Idiot101 If you look back I said Roman is better on paper but they lost to Ryan which is why I would rank Ryan higher. I assume by changes you mean coaching? I guess losing no senior of signaficance and adding Connor McStravick and Chris Allbrook had nothing to do with it. But I am sure you don't believe those players or the other guys being a year older mean anything at all becuase clearly juding by the ridiculous comments you have made on this thread as well as the other on you are clearly a hockey genius.

I saw Roman play a few times last season, and I thought the coach did a very good job. That team was greatly improved from 2 seasons ago. There was more talent, but it was obvious they had much better systems and discipline too. I was really surprised the coach didnt return.
Roman's team is good this year, but I agree with koolaid that everyone may be jumping the gun too early on them. It will be interesting to see how they play once the AAA season is in full swing, and how they adapt to any injuries they may have. They do have a good team, but its tough to tell whos the real deal until february.
