Is this game postponed? According to La Salle's website it is. Was supposed to be at Face Off tonight at 6:50. Anyone have a reason for the postponement or a reschedule date (if any)?

1) I am not sure we need a new thread about every La Salle game.

2) Why are they allowed to reschedule a game due to "banged up" players?

1) I agree. Lasalle results/comments can fit just as comfortably as any other game in our regular "Tonight's Scores" topics.

2) Who rescheduled? St. Joes or Lasalle? And does it really even matter? This one (like most of the others) won't even be close.

Goallad said Wally did it. He is the coach of Lasalle so they reshedualed. As for them being able to im guessing its a non league game, if not that is a little shady.

I think it was non-league. Even so, and as a La Salle supporter, I agree they should play the game if it is previously scheduled. Then again, La Salle played one of their less than dominating performances against SJP earlier this year and still beat them 9-3. Even still, as I've said before, in a one game scenario anything is possible...

On a bizarre note, I had checked SJP's website earlier today before anyone confirmed the game was cancelled and saw SJP was coached by Ed Austin, who I played for in college. Good to see that Ed is still involved in hockey. What is it with ex-La Salle University coaches ending up at Prep? First Speedy Morris, now Ed Austin..

As for the La Salle posts, the message board is open to all, correct? Instead of knocking the amount of La Salle posts, be happy that people are interested in local HS hockey, fellas.

Interesting.

Didn't know there were other LaSalle U hockey alumni here. I was a bit before Ed Austin's time though.

1992-1996. Ed coached my first two years, possibly the third as well. The last year was coached part of the season by a guy named Crowley, the rest by committee.

The team's first year was 1971-72. I played goal for them from 1972-1976.

If I remeber correctly I believe Ed Austin also played at La Salle, sometime in the early 80's if I'm not mistaken.

I think you're right. I may have played against him in an alumni game or two.

Matt: That hurt, man! And here I'm thinking I could get the Parent era pads out of the attic and go back out there! Maybe not.... Razzer
