VFMM lost their first game at Nationals to the Dallas Stars 3-2 in a shoot out, Berkle and Tyson with the goals. They play Team Maryland tomorrow and finish with Team Illinois. VFMM needs to finish top four out of their group to advance to knockout stages.

Good luck with team Illinois if there anything like they use to be.

VFMM Over Team Maryland 7-2 today. They get Team Illinois tomorrow. 2 goals from Schmidt, 2 goals from Berkle, Moyer, Tyson, and Pascal. Pyne gave up 2 goals in the first period and a half and then Farrell shut them out rest of the way.

These are results from all the games played for the 18u Tier 1 nationals

VFMM lost to Team Illinois 4-1 this morning and was outshot 28-15. They are showing in the standings as the #4 seed, which would get them into the knockout stages, but they're in a dead heat with District 10, who they didn't play in the pool play. Both teams have the same record (1-1 with an OT loss) and both have the same goal differential (+1). District 10 has more GF's, VFMM has less GA. Not sure what the tie break is. If they do get the tie break there's a good chance they'll play Shattuck-St. Mary's tomorrow.

VFMM eeked into the medal round as the #4 seed. They play the Phantom Fireworks Midget team, out of Youngstown, OH today at 3:15. Phantom Fireworks won their district with upset wins over the Pittsburgh Hornets and Cleveland Jr. Barons.

VFMM wins 3-2 in OT and moves on to the semi finals.

Ross Denczi had the overtime winner from Pascal and Schmidt. The other two VFMM goals were Berkle and Tyson. Justin Farrell played in net - VFMM outshot their opponent 37-21. The play Shattuck - St. Mary's Saturday night at 9:45.

The article says Adam played for the Little Flyers as a Peewee Major, it was really the Jr. Flyers. CA Wave tied the game with 13 seconds left in regulations, Jr. Flyers won the game early in OT on a goal by Matt Javitt. Great group of kids.

Shattuck St Mary's over Team Illinois 5-1 in the final. On a side note - Pyne was the goalie in net for the 3-1 loss to Shattuck in the semi's, and Dan made 37 saves on 40 shots. VFMM only had 21 shots.

Would have been a great team if they stayed together until this past season. Same with the Devils. There were about 10 former Devils on the Mid-Fairfield team.
