marple vs springfield was a great game.. with a hat trick from koob and great goaltending by taxin.. very even game.. I think shots may have been equal almost
The Henderson-Kennett game was a very good one that started out with Henderson jumping to an early 4-0 lead. Kennett played well and actually out-shot Henderson. The game was closer than the score tells but Henderson was able to capitalize on their opportunities while Kennett did not. Mattern played great in net holding them to only 2 goals. Should be a crazy game Friday night between Henderson and East but I don't have details on the East game tonight.

Perk valley may have underestimated Sun Valley but it was 3-3 going into the 3rd and Sun Valley went up 5-3 before giving up 2 goals in about 45 seconds to PV. I think its one thing to underestimate a team and go down in the 1st but to give up 2 goals in the third when the game was tied just means sun valley came with their A game. I thought SV's goalie (Pez) played unreal tonight, got peppered with shots throughout the OT's and the freshmen Lazzaro for Sun Valley also played great, scoring 2 of the goals, even getting lose on a breakaway in the first OT.
One thing i saw tonight that i thought was great was that right after Fiorillo scored the game winner in OT, before celebrating with his own team Sutherland skated down and talked to Pez. That should not only great class but also great maturity. Sun Valley earned their spot in the FC tonight, i was one of the people who didn't think they belonged.

Thanks Jigga, As a team this was the best we played all year, after losing to Radnor in the 3rd place game we really came togheter as a team to prove everyone wrong about us not deserving our seeding in the tournament. I think if we play like this next year we should be a contender.
Sunderland came down to congradulate us on our effort tonight before celebrating the win. I don't care about all this argument over billeting, all I know is that Sunderland is probally the classiest player we have played against, and I think there should be more people in the area like him. I would denfinitly rather have him in our league than a lot of the people we have seen earlier this year. Everyone should get off his back over this whole billeting issue because he is the kind of class act that this area needs, and that is what it should really be about
We had the lead 2-0 going into the third but Hershey battled back at eventually took the game in overtime. There were a few homer calls towards the end of the game, not that I wouldn't expect that out of Hershey. A lot of credit needs to be given to goaltender Steve Kelly, the scoresheet only reported 35 shots, but there was at least 50.
