Realize this game is a couple weeks away...anyone have some early thoughts on how it might play out?

I honestly think that Henderson will win. Malvern is much deeper but I do not believe that they will be able to shut down Latta, Cottle and Zucker. Goaltending will be an issue for Malvern. Zoeller is weak and can get lit up if you put a few early goals on him.

I am predicting a 5-2 win for Henderson. I realize it should be a closer score but it won't be. The game will be much closer than the scoreboard says but Malvern will have trouble scoring on Henderson's solid goaltending while Henderson's first line will feast on Zoeller.

Snipe, what happened buddy? Did someone from Henderson run over your dog or something? Your in some denial about the quality of their squad big guy! They can play a little. No?

FYI- The Henderson vs. Malvern game counts as a LEAGUE game for both teams. I would think that makes it anything but a yawner??

Shane Lewis left Malvern and now goes to his local high school Twin Valley (we heard he had too long of a commute).

They switched up before the game.
Brendan Tammany played, he is on the PA Predators 16-U A, my son, Jim Dornberger, plays on the Old York Road Raiders 16-U A-1 team.

You guys had a short bench and your defense definitely stopped playing in the 8-2 MP win.

Our team is finally playing up to potential (since we don't practice together until Nov and we only have 1 practice a week it takes time to get it together - same for the AAA team. On the other hand virtually all of our players play club).

Sounds like a split season is the answer to the problem Wink

yeah we didn't play up to our capability. Malvern truely deserved that win and shane also had an off game. That night was my first night back from a fractured L-4 vertabreaand was mostly a test run for the upcoming tounaments. You guys played a great game though. Congragulations and good luck in the tourney ill be up in aston but wish i could be there to watch you guys play.

That may be true. The Inter-Ac schools (Haverford , Episcopal, GA, Chestnut Hill and Malvern) that play Ice Hockey all follow the league rule that no team can start practice during another season (even though hockey is a club sport). That means that we have our first practice the same week as the first game.

Still I really don't mind the overlap of club and school, Matt. We go to 3 practices and, usually, 3-4 games a week. It could be because my son's a goalie and only plays every other game.

Malverns depth will create too many match up problems for Henderson and will be more than enough to make up for the slight edge that Henderson probably has in the goaltending department. Malvern wins 4-2.
