anybody know how Manero and Decristofano played against LaSalle didn't they both get 3 game suspensions (Decristofano 4 Games for fight and 5 penalties) in the Ryan Game?
It's funny that you say that because a couple of days ago I noticed a post by someone talking about that game. I went into the boxscore to see how they could have won that game with all those guys suspended. Then I saw that they pretty much did all the scoring. I was wondering the same thing.
It may have had something to do with it being a crossover game. The Ryan players probably served their 1 game against Ohara. They also only served 1 game as well.
So if the fight was against another SHSHL team they would have to serve 3 games, but against a LBCSHL team it only carries one game? Doesn't sound too logical to me.

Logic and hockey are rarely to be used in the same sentence. Matt, I have no idea who, when or what went into the decision - just passing it on. Maybe a league official can clarify.
Originally posted by Mojo: I was wondering as well. The scoresheet of the 1st game after the fight said they served the first of 3. Unless that was just incorrect.

If that's the case, and the LB rule is 1 game, then it's one game. The SHSHL guideline is that in crossovers, if the opposing league suspension is less than 3 games (as in the SHSHL), then the suspension corresponds to the lesser amount of games. The logic is that the penalty should be applied equitably.
