There was a big fiasco.....

One ref never showed, someone else filled in, game started 30 minutes late, the ref then decided to "curfew" the game after the second period, while getting no pressure from the rink to do so.

Neither coach signed the scoresheet.

'Stoga was up 2-1, but not sure what the "official" outcome will be.

No wonder they haven't posted the results!

How much time was left in their slot? The refs can call the game after two periods if there's no time left. I think the teams should be warned however.

The way I understand it is....if the rink is willing to let you finish the game then you finish the game.

It was not the fault of the players or the coaches that the game ran long. It appears that the ref/refs stopped the game on their own, maybe because they only get paid for working the 90 minute slot?????

Thats correct, I know IW and the Skatium wont curfew league games. They should get the names of the official(s) and demand an explination.

Ugly in a number of ways. Imagine the parents of the 9:40 game to be played following, and being told that game will not start until well after 10PM on MONDAY school night! Sometime, things do happen outside any one's fault - let's see where it lands. Probably should have halved the 3rd period - but I suppose that wouldn't have pleased anyone either, as the damage was already in motion.

No, the game was on Monday night at Iceline. They played each other on Friday also.

it ended in a 2-2 tie, Stoga came out real flat since they already wrapped up 2nd place in the central league
