rahal --- You completely missed the point. I'll repeat what I said. Is there not a distinction between a kid who lives in one district and transfers to a nearby district for athletic reasons (which would cause a year of ineligability under a proposed rule under discussion) and a second kid who moves to the district from another area entirely for reasons that have nothing to do with the receiving district, like family relocation or a near-by Junior Hockey opportunity (which should not cause ineligability under the proposed rule being discussed).

The problem with your argument is your lumping a family moving because of a job situation with a situation where a kid moves into a random persons house for purly athletic reasons. I agree with you completely about the family part not the second. I am in an area that could posibly benefit from billet housing especially considering the junior flyers are looking to get a AJHL junior A team next year and I still think its unfair. You should have to move to AAA just like Malvern was when they had all there exchange students and like what East was when they had Marshall or those players shouldnt be allowed on the ice.
Side note, who was the team he originally came to play for and what happened to them?
I once thought that you were a family friend and that you were a decent person, but I have lost all respect for you in the past couple of months. You are simply trying to enforce a rule that does not exist. If you want to dispute this, wait until next season's meetings, then you can complain all you want, and you may be received by the audience, but at this juncture in time, your argument has no backing because there are no rules that contain the word "billet".
We have no "master plans" brewing for next year, but I will tell you that we have a good 8th grade goalie coming up, and he is expected to fill Rob's shoes next year. PV hockey may take a step back in the next couple of years, but every team goes through rebuilding phases. Our JV A goaltender goes to Phoenixville, who has a JV A team, but with three goaltenders, He, being a sophomore, wanted to play school hockey, but did not want to suffer the boredom of a three-man rotation. He plays with our JV coach's son's youth team, and they decided to work something out for Adam to play for us. Also legal.
My biggest problem with you is this, the information that you are using against us came directly from my dad. You didn't seem to have a problem with billeting when he told you this, but you came on here behind his back and used things that he told you as a friend, against him. That is in bad taste, and has led to the changing of any inital impressions that you made on me. You are so witty on here, but this only shows when you talk behind people's backs. You had nothing witty to say when the e-mail was sent to you regarding the situation (in fact, you curled up into a shell and didn't have the courage to respond).
You are not worth arguing with, and this will be my last post on this forum; because of people like you, a place that should be used to promote ice hockey, is corrupting ice hockey. Believe it or not, we play because we love to play the game, LET US PLAY HOCKEY, we don't want to hear about the politics.
O yeh and this is completely besides the point but this is a rediculous reason to stop being friends with someone you actually know over. Lifes to short to get that mad over high school hockey.
rahal -- yes, that's my argument except that the hypothetical student is moving into a school district for reasons that have nothing to do with the school's athletics. Therefore, I wouldn't think that the proposed rule requiring a year of ineligability would apply. In reference to Rob Sutherland, he had signed with the Jr. Bucks, got billeting assigned, registered for school, then the Bucks folded about 2 days before school started. An offer was immediately forthcoming from the VFMM and was accepted.
Just a thought about the qtr final round at Iceline on Friday the 14th. They have PW and Bantam districts scheduled on Rinks 1 and 3 at 5ish and 7ish and a 6:30pm game on Rink 4 and an if necessary MS game 6pm on rink 2.
I'm just wondering where the 5:45pm and 7:30 FC games are gonna go.
Not to mention a possible Semifinal for Malvern if they make it.
Paging Mr. Graves to the white courtesy phone...

Yes I understand what your saying but they did move you here for "athletic reasons" and I think it will begin to become an unfair advantage for a couple schools directly around the rink. I think its unfair for any team, and the odds are in the next year or two all the west chester teams will start to have AJHL kids in the area because of the new junior Flyers team so im not just saying this because its against us this year. I think its unfair for any of these kids to be in the open league, if they want to play high school too they should go to one of the private schools that im sure would give them a free ride if they where that good.

Zam- The FC games are at 5:45 and 9:15. They will probably surround the Bantam District playoff game on Rink 1.

The FC site shows a 5:45, 7:30 and 9:15 for the 14th. Districts have 5pm and 7pm on both 1 and 3. I'm sure something has been worked out, just doens't show up on the Iceline site yet. There are also some problems (according to Iceline site) for the 12th with Henderson and Malvern both playing at 7pm. But here I think they'd move the ms games already scheduled.
