KH spent a full year trying to win an SHSHL championship and failed. It starts with the North Penn coach being fired after last year and KH getting the job. From the position of SHSHL president, decisions can be made to help North Penn. First, reduce the competition.
A new rule is proposed. La Salle's second hockey team cannot be eligible for playoffs in AA. That role was voted down by the members. (I heard the meeting was not well attended). Second try. La Salle's second hockey team must play AAA. That passed. La Salle is out of SHSHL.
Next, admit Pennsbury and Neshaminy to the SHSHL even though they will not be eligible for playoffs since they are already in the lower Bucks League. Put them in the other division which allows a team with two wins to qualify for the playoffs and keeps a good team like Souderton out of the playoffs.
When the best North Penn player receives a gross misconduct, a disciplinary meeting is held immediately and the suspension is set at a few games. Normally, a player must not practice or play until the meeting takes place. Usually, the meeting takes several weeks to occur, but being the president has its advantages.
An ex-varsity player who played juniors decides to play for North Penn. To get him the necessary games to become eligible for playoffs, play him on JV.
Before making the SHSHL playoff schedule, wait to see if the Jr. Flyers make the Atlantic District playoffs so the best payer is available. When they don't make the playoffs, schedule 1 of the best of 3 final games are for the same night as a district playoff. It's a shame the strategy failed because he did not make the SHSHL finals.
I feel bad for the North Penn players to be associated with this manipulation. It was the coach's failure to perform on the bench that cost a good North Penn team a shot at the championship. KH should resign as both coach and president of the league so that high school hockey in the suburban league can thrive again.
mr puck, couldn't have said it better myself. Totally outcoached by Frank Reago. I also hear that many top players (juniors & seniors) are going to avoid team philadelphia tryouts because he's involved. He should resign.
1- Pennsbury and Neshaminy belong in that division geographically.
2- Do you really think that before the season started KH new that Abington would get into the playoffs with 3 wins? C'mon
3- Getting a player the 10 games needed by swinging him through JV games IS within the rules and it's done all the time. If the player is an elite player and not a true JV player, then I applaud the organization for letting him dress but not play.
Mr. Puck......if KH decides to resign, per your request, are you prepared to strap on your boots and put in 40-50 hours of VOLUNTEER work per week. There's your solution, run against him at the next election. Take on the thankless job yourself and see how much fun it is....all just to minipulate the playoff system.

Matt, Right on!! Mr. Puck needs to know that there was never a statue build for a critic. I know how much time KH puts in to the SHSHL and it is a thankless job. Has he made mistakes? Yes. But hindsight is always 20/20.
I don't want to say anything too bad, but he shouldn't be able to do both. I am not saying he has manipulated the system or not, but just so the oppurtunity doesn't arise. I'm sure there were other qualified people who would want to coach a team like North Penn. My biggest problem is that he can assign officials.
The Commissioner of the NHL also makes mistakes, so does the President of the USA.
Icehockey66, When Kenny was named coach of North Penn, he resigned as president of the SHSHL, the league refused to accept his resignation. Enough said?

Some of your other points that wernt well researched.
A-The SHSHL playoff schedule was completed in September.
B-Prior to the Playoffs, Kenny Contacted Frank Reago and the Pennridge President to tell them that the Thursday game would be moved to Wednesday. (Pennridge's best THREE players play for Wally's MM team and would be forced to decide between HS and Club, but the change would seem to benefit Pennridge the same or even more than North Penn.)
C- Pennsbury was not forced out of the SHSHL playoffs, they were given a choice and Pennsbury chose to play in the LBCSHL playoffs instead.
D- Like Gspot said, Kenny does not assign officials.

Who is your Nominee for the new SHSHL President? Are you going to step up and VOLUNTEER? It's easy to say get rid of the president, but you havent offered much of a solution other than saying "get rid of him cause I don't like it"
I don't know the facts surrounding the McDyre case, that is why I didn't comment on it. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you are 100% correct on that one......is that a reason to ask for a resignation? Because he got his player a speedy trial?

Hey Dumpandchase, Be careful for what you wish for. And also if you go on any league website and find a link for by-laws and meetifo, please pass it to me. I would like to see it. The people who need to be at those meetings are the one who know when they are. Most leagues set it up that way to keep those who dont need to be there, out.
Remember Dumpandchase, you have to be voted in by all the club presidents. The same club presidents who voted not to acceept KH resignation in the summer. All you want to do is bash, bash, bash. You have any idea of the time commitment it takes to hold any type of this position? And if you would, give 1 example of how the SHSHL was run different this year than from last?
"Back door process?" I'm offering to help you get the ball rolling.
Your right, I have no official position with the SHSHL, so why do you ask me to "have them post things on the website"....your being a little hypocritical here, aren't you?
First you ask me how to do it, then you say you won't go through me, then you ask me if "I'm game". What's it going to be?
I offered to help, you didn't want my help....you're on your own now.

Also....there is no "trial" it was figure of speech. The suspension is something that is ruled on by the commissioner, usually takes about a week and from what I am told, the McDyre situation took about a week.
