I think that's not very accurate, missed a significant amount of local players who are as good or better.

Missed a couple players on the top team in the area: Schmidt, Tyson, Varley & Pascal for Lasalle. Schmidt's been dominant all year.

Plenty of players were missed. Only 25 were allowed on the list.

I started with over 50 and narrowed it down. If 50 was the number you would see more of the people that you wanted to see on the list.

Sorry, while I agree that all six players you mentioned from La Salle are very good.....there are over 125 teams to choose from and I couldnt justify making the top 25 ONE QUARTER La Salle.

All I ask is for those that critique the list...make sure you have seen EVERY player that you feel doesn't belong and EVERY player that you feel does belong.

I also agree it was short of goalies, it was a sacrifice I made to add two position players. The last three goalies scratched were Rodkey, Goldberg and Aman

List is good. Cant think of anyone off the top of my head that was excluded besides Lasalle players, and Cole Ikkala.

Whats going on with Tyler Lewis? Hows he playing?

No way on Kevin Murray. Very solid, tough player with speed, but theres many better then him.

Its Adam Berkle, not Tom.

Wallin is definitely very skilled, but hes more of a "passanger" on that line. Thats not a knock, just that hes not the catalyst. You have to put Zoldy, Schmidt, Denczi and Tyson ahead of him.

Corcoran plays more forward then defense. He usually only plays d on special teams or when hgp is undermanned.

Conroy shouldnt be on this list. Ryan Bones is better.

Both Fynes from Roman and Petitti from Judge are very underated goalies.

The list stuns me with Top 6 Defensive players all mentioning offensive skills.

Nothing was mentioned about Hayden or Dippel's offensive abilities.....but I get the point.

HGP....Ikkala was on the list 'til the very end. Lewis is a solid two way player, I like him alot, he just didnt make the cut.

Haste makes waste. To clarify further; I failed to see the link on the very first post and my response was to JVhockeys list. I can't fully comment on the Breakaway list as there are players that I haven't seen this season. (And I don't know.) The players I do recognize I wouldn't argue with.

Of course AAA players are going to get looked at more, but what about Boraske who is the reason Ridley is winning games or D'Urbano from Marple who has unbelievable play making skills Ikkla is a very dominate player from West and should be high on any list in Pennsylvania.
Boraske shut down several on the players on the list and prob. will continue to do so for the reaminder of the season.

dropdpuck, thanks for clearing that up.

And FYI for everyone else, the list that "Joevhockey" posted is his own. Goaliedad posted a link for you to access the PA Hockey list, that I assisted with.

This is not a Breakaway! endeavor, it is PA Hockey's from Western PA, I just assist with the list from the Eastern side (And I got input from some coaches and officials within each league)

I don't get offended if you disagree....in reality what is the difference between "my" #25 and #26 or even #30 anyway? I am just limited to 25 players as that is what PAHockey asked for.

Two things -

1. Berkle doesn't play with Tyson and Schmidt. he usually plays with Tyson and Wallin. Schmidt generally plays with Denczi and a rotating winger (lately Cruice in the games I've seen).

2. Schmidt is tied with Berkle in ICSHL and leads him by 3 points in AYHL, not to mention being named MVP of the Mt. St. Charles tournament.

Not taking anything away from Berkle, he's a top forward in this area, but so is Schmidt. the top 25 players in the east shouldn't be biased by what team they play for, but who the top players in the area really are. Not recognizing Schmidt's fine year thus far is a bad oversight, as is not recognizing any of the defenseman from the best team in the East, whether that be Pascal or Varley.

Correction:
Berkle, Zoldy & Wallin is one line, Schmidt, Tyson & Denzi is another.

I also think Schmidt has looked better then Berkle this year. Pascal is one of the best defensemen in E PA this year, without a doubt, probably top 3.

Ive seen Berkle-Zoldy-Wallin, and Tyson-Denczi-Schmidt this year. When did that change?
