Good point, still... 16-0? In Flyers Cup? After a few really close first round games and some major upsets, I did not think there was such a gap in talent between one team and another in any of the divisions, with the exception of LaSalle.

Any more details on Pennsbury's loss?

The only person on Cherokee's team that showed any class or competitve fire was their goalie. It was an absolute disgrace to watch their players make a joke out of a Flyers Cup game. They were laughing and joking about not going after pucks: and they actually tried to imitate Mighty Ducks Movie and perform a flying V. All the while their coaches are all smiles on the bench and never reprimanded a player for their behavior. Certainly not the effort you expect for a Flyers Cup game

Sutherland is on PV not Pennsbury.

Northhampton's first game was against Central Dauphin so they didn't play a real tough team to get to the 2nd round, and Methacton can be the best team in AA if their goalie plays well.

O well you said "Mazda faced 12 shots, conestoga came out real flat, didn't look very sharp." Obviously Mazda played crapy but if the team only gave up 12 shots you really cant fault them unless it was 12 breakaways.

And yes I agree 16-0 is pretty bad. Especially considering its the Flyers cup and theres no more goal differential or anything to worry about. Allthough I still think im rooting for them over Stoga.

Haha, it's late. I'm tired, Perk Valley/Pennsbury. They both start with P's and have three syllables, gimme a break.

I agree with Methacton being the best AA team around if they want to be. I have them picked to win it all.

CBSouth 7 D'town East 1

CBSouth was just too physical for D-E.

Pretty sad. this tournament obviously has little meaning to NJ teams. Why are they in it anyway?

Not sure why this team doesn't care about FC but the other SJ teams do. But I do know the turnout they had had nothing to with any protest. Both of their senior goalies are injured, one hurt his arm in a car accident and the other wrenched his back. They needed to pull their Varisity Tier II goalie up for the game. No drama, just an apparent lack of interest in playing once their season was over.

Dicky Dunn never wrote that, so it couldn't be true!

Great CR North vs. CB East Game. In the end CBEast was out-coached by CRNorth!

They definitely outplayed North. Not so sure anyone was all that outcoached. If Ken really outcoached 8022 then the game probably wouldn't have gone to OT at all. The right wingers kept coming down the offensive sideboards and firing off slapshot after slapshot even when they had open guys coming down the slot. If they make a pass here or there it is a slamdunk back door goal. But this strategy never changed. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't say he coached a bad game but to say one coach was clearly better than the other is a bit of an overstatement in my opinion. THE key was Jesse Goldberg was the best player on the ice.

CB East had plenty of chances to score in OT. (but no fault to them). I agree that Goldberg was the difference for sure. What impressed me the most was how calm (at least appeared to be)he was in net in OT, when he stopped several good scoring chances.
