Roman spanked Holy Ghost 7-1. That really puts a damper on this months AAA rankings. What to do, what to do?

How did Henderson look?

Henderson looked really good. They spread the scoring around and a different person scored every goal. (Wallace, Zucker, Cottle, and Beren).

Perk valley seemed to try and keep Latta in check trying to keep 2 men on him every time he started to move with the puck. Perk valleys first goal was power play and their second was shorthanded. They couldn’t keep themselves out of the penalty box getting 14 penalties and a game misconduct. While Henderson had 11 penalties. There was a lot of pushing and shoving after many plays and I think the refs missed a few calls against Henderson but not to many.

Twice the new Perk Valley goalie got run into really hard once by Latta and once by Cottle I believe, neither received penalties but after the first hit he was down on the ice for at least three minutes.

Perk Valley’s new goalie Rob Southerland looked pretty solid aside from being a bit shaken up from eh hit he took, he faced 25 shots. Mattern also looked pretty good as well, he had 18 saves and the 2 goals he let in were pretty good shots from the PV players.

Overall both teams looked pretty good even strength and on special teams, fast puck movement and good breakout, both should do well this season.

I didn’t watch and of the Conestoga game but their goals were also from all different players (V. Masciantonio, R. Masciantonio. Fatholaki. Evans) and Havens only goal was by (Slagis)

Most of Roman's goals were bad by any standard. Not to take anything away from Roman, because they are very solid, but the game looked even and the difference was in the nets, at least in this game. It looks as though they are going to have to outscore alot of teams this year.

i thought roman had a great game, they will definitely be a top 4 aaa team when the seasons over.

roman scored 7 goals and non were at even strength, it look as if after the 2nd roman goal, it basically took the air out of hgp, and the goalie lost confidence. it was1-0 hgp after the 1st, but everything fell apart.

i thought hgp played well, but not our best game. it will be interesting to see what happens in goal. the goalie with the most potential in the program is a bantam-aged freshman, so we'll see where that goes.

Come on this is not rocket science. First of all Roman held them to 14 shots. Second they match up seravalli with the right defenseman unlike the former roman coach did and take him out of the game and thats all they got. Roman played great team defense and thats the difference. could be a long year for hgp.

bye the way its easy to blame the goalie but at least 4 of those goals were not his fault. hgp's defense is weak. Mc Stravick just took the puck away from a defenseman walked out front all alone and scored hardly the goalies fault. Plus he stopped a breakaway by mc grath to keep them in the game. What i saw was a certain hgp star lose heart.

The "old" Roman coach did match his top 2 D against that line last year. Know your facts before taking subtle shots. The difference is that the current Roman coach didn't have to worry about John Soroka or number 25 I don't remember his name but that kind of changes the complexion don't you think? Oh yeah and a certain freshman who was more than solid for HGP last year was playing for Roman this year. Keep in mind Roman is very good and you cannot discount the fact that the growing pains were expirenced last year as Roman had 5 freshmen who logged substantial minutes and are key players this year

Not to mention Seravalli is playing with a fractured pelvis and sports hernia. Pretty crazy to say he lost heart when he hasn't put on a pair of skates in ten weeks but decided his health was not a factor when it came to pride in playing for a school. They shadowed him the entire game and it had nothing to do with that. 5 goals on about 8 shots doesn't help either. Roman has played what 7 games and that was Holy Ghost's first. I think some of you guys need to get some facts straight.
