They are there IF WE want to use them. Philadelphia is amazed at the support that we get from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
There are so many financial opportunities: grants, sponsors, etc. With unification, the financial opportunities are endless.
The enrollment is an issue in Philadelphia that will need to be worked on. They currently do not follow the male enrollment
that we follow. Once completed, Ed is suggesting a news conference be held in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg
with both sides of the state showing their UNIFICATION.

Ed's Goal? Ed was an invited guest, the way this sounds is that he spearheaded this meeting, far from reality.

Sounds like you two guys were not at the same meeting. Somebody doesn't have their story straight.

you're right....I read that clip with a strange look on my face. I guess I was in the other room more than I thought......then again, I never left the table.

I'm not sure what his agenda is, but it seems that he and I have a totally different hold of what that meeting was about. The future will set it all free...........

Here's my point.....the PIHL is a 501 c 3 Non Profit Organization.....the mission is to serve the member schools and provide a service to the the Interschlastic Hockey Community.

Most of the Discussion is about what ? Money, Financial Opportunity and on and on. The Wolf in Sheeps clothing is what I call these people and have for ten years. They have destroyed hockey in Western Pennsylvania.

Make sure to read about Indiana High School's plight of how they cannot field a Varsity and that goes for Erie Cathedral Prep [State Champions 1997 and Penguins Cup in 2001]. These programs are going out of business and last year's Penguins Cup finalist Franklin Regional will have NO Varsity team in 2009-2010.

In addition PIHL's 6/10/2008 Board meeting minutes state the following:

"USA Hockey-During the High School Section meeting, the Atlantic District gave no report on the merger of the seven leagues in Eastern Pennsylvania and no comments regarding Eastern Pennsylvania being under PIHL."

Matt- seems someone has a different view of the meeting and what it was to accomplish.

I copied and pasted the "minutes" that showed up on the messege board and sent them to the others that were in the meeting. The reactions were simalar to mine.

wow. sounds like there were two different agendas from this meeting. that is a bit unnerving.

my guess is there are a lot more than two....but these will do for now.

Which begs the question why use such and new a clever name for the new league as PIHL if there is to be no affliation? Very nice of the East to set up domains for both PIHL East and West.

Not saying there is a merger but the West seems to be checking the boxes. Hard to say what the East is doing.

So if Ed Samm said it...it must be true. I see you trust Mr Samm very much, what is your affiliation with him.

I'm not a gambling man......but if anyone would like to make a small wager....say their house, I am willing to put up mine and wager that there is NO MERGER between the East and West AND that the EAST IS NOT adopting the NAME or the RULES used by the PIHL.

Any takers?

....and don't bet Ed's House because he doesn't own it....it got taken in a Sheriff's Sale in Westmoreland County .....according to the County Records.
