My silence is because I am not in the day-to-day goings on of what is going to happen in the future.
My silence has nothing to do with the fact that you think this isnt going to happen, it has to do with the fact that I am on vacation right now.....and as I said before, I was at the meeting to try and give input on moving things forward not as a reporter. I have not been to a meeting since the AAA meeting in May, so I have nothing to 'report' to you.
There are people working on writing a uniform set of by-laws, does that put your mind at ease?
Do the Eagles invite Dave Spadaro to thier meetings to give reports on what the Eagles plan to do to better their organization, or do they wait until they have finalized things before they inform the press?

Silence means there is a back room deal going on and if it involves Western Pa, the people of Eastern Pa should prepare for the price of High School Hockey to double. Make sure to ask why referees, emts, and security all have a sur-charge added and that there will be a $ 100 per game administrative fee added to your cost as well. Good Luck !
PA Hockey That is the most ridiculous comment I think I have ever heard. Perhaps you should share all of your vast knowledge of what happens in back rooms.
You are over stepping here Jeff. I would expect you, as a friend, to ask me privately if there is anything going on. You are stirring the pot here and you have no reason to.
There have been no talks about a merger! PERIOD!

Merger or no merger doesn't really matter. What counts is if they are adopting the West by-laws. If they do expect everything PA Hockey is warning of. The number one question is are there paid positions being created to run the new league? If there is expect trouble. With volunteers you just get the power/ego problems. Threw money in the mix and the real fun starts.

Not that I am aware of, the only paid position that I recall being discussed is for the person that would maintain the website and upload all of the scoresheets.

Me, stir the pot ? I have never been known to do that ?
The PIHL was a back room deal to give Ed Sam the Commissioner's job period and he was in charge of hiring the commissioner not being it and he has held this position for 8 years and the member schools have NO say so and have never voted on any of the paid positions with the PIHL. So it's not such a ridiculous comment where I sit !
There has never been an audit of their 501 c 3 and they have received over $ 150000 from the Pittsburgh Penguins over the past four years and they submit NO playoff financial statements to the member teams or on their website so there are plenty of unethical things going on with that organization.
From my conversations with folks from the East which continued in York at the Keystone Games. The discussions have been with JUST the 4 Eastern Pa Leagues and thats it. The PIHL Commissioner and other people with that league are spreading runors about the merger with the East and that is not happening according to my sources [and they are pretty good] and has been confirmed by Matt above.
My wanring is that adopting the PIHL By-Laws is a BAD IDEA
That's fine, but your previous post insinuates that I and the East officials are involved in back room meetings with the West.
You know me better than that!
There has only been ONE meeting that involved the East officials and Ed Samm and that is the one I spoke about way back when (When I originaly posted this thread). Other than that, there has been no contact with Mr. Samm about the issues.
There has been no talk about a merger, and the East is drawing up their own set of By-laws....NOT adopting the West's. I'm not sure how I can be more clear about it.
