Freeport wins in a stunner over undefeated defending A state champion Quaker Valley...

Wow i figured none of our A teams had a shot aganist quaker valley, but i know the west wasn't looking forward to playing La Salle so i guess its sort of like a trade. Hopefully Henderson can bring the trophey back to eastern PA

Quaker Valley losing blows the Lasalle loss away in terms of major upsets

just my opinion on the game:

i thought that Tinkoff didnt play his best, Latta's goal was near perfect, but blaker's at the end seemed a bit weak.

Tim mc garry seemed dead out there at times, but i dont blame him with the ice time he got, and when he ran into Rob Mattern, it didnt seem like he did it on purpose, he also had a sick dangle on latta at the end of the game

Wow. QV beat Freeport 11-0 just 3 months ago. Granted, a different team with players back, it is still shocking. Congrats.

My thoughts on the game:

Billy Latta is really, REALLY fast...But other than that, his goal was just out of control, it looked like he didn't have the angle to pull a move off but to his credit managed to do it. McGarry looked sluggish at times, but then there were also times where he nailed more than a few Henderson players. Mattern played an excellent game and his sliding save across the creases roughly 15 seconds into the game set the tone for WCH

Where have you been Sniper26?

I think the paid attendence was 720...so 800 is good guess (VIP's and rink employee's etc)

Hi this message is related to the post from Pavelich77. Blakers shot was not weak what so ever, if it was tinkoff would have saved it hes a good goalie. But to Henderson I LOVE YOU ALL, and MATTERN, LATTA, AND BLAKER ARE MY HEROS!!! ONE MORE AT THE STATE FINAL BABY!!!! HENDERSONS GOT THE BEST FANS. And Pavelich77 why dont you try to stop Blakers shot?? Thats what i thought
