I agree w SJ Fan...you have to consider Gray for goalie of the year. Also, in the defensive forward category, you have to consider Tim Larkin of Williamstown. The kid played end to end every game and is a great back checker. If they only kept +-....

That would be a good idea but they would be very inacaurate with 1 scoerkeeper, and i dont know if they could have enough people to do 2 score keepers. But it would be a good idea

I'd be happy if they got shots on goal accurate and credited everyone with the second assist.

Plus/minus is just to much to ask for....although many clubs do keep +/- unofficially themselves.

more talented players in aaa over the other 2 levels, with a few exceptions.

I disagree, granted there are some talented players in the AAA levels, but I think this year, the A and AA levels have more talent as a whole. The fact of the matter is that the AAA gets more coverage because it is the top of high school hockey, which in all rights should be. However, in recent years, better players who could prob. play AAA in any school around decide to stay where they are or cannot afford the private school where there would be a AAA team. Like I said before, some of the better players just do not get seen as much as the AAA players, and all the powers that be just see stats and not as much game play at the AA or A level to determine the player of the year from there. The Brennan bros. each got the award becuase they were hands down the best players in there respective years, they did not have much competition as there is now and in the two years before.

Jason,

I am at a high school hockey game every night of the week, sometimes going to two differnt rinks in the same night.

To say that we pick player of the year based on stats is completely inaccurate.

I doubt that there is ANYONE in the entire Delaware Valley that sees more High School Hockey (All seven leagues) than I do.

I agree. I think Colin Davis should be considered for player of the year. He did it all for his team.

I've plaed agianst AJ Moyer and he should be in the running for best defensive offensemen. From the hockey I've seen, Soroka is the most talented, but he is cheap and doesn't play hard away from the puck. I've played against Manero and he doesn't play anything close to defense for McDevitt.

No problem Jason, I'm not offended....ask your buddy Big Jim if I am ever at Iceworks or the Skatium....he'll vouch for me. Smiler

I don't usually do interviews with players or coaches, I watch the games and I move on to the next one....I like to be incognito.

I'm actually scheduled to be at Grundy for game 3 of the Lower Bucks finals.

If Ridley wins tonight, I will be there for the deciding game.

Haverfordguy,
Must you be so nasty?
Stoga has not been this far in many years and as a team they should take great pride in just making the final four.
Haverford is an amazing team as always, why waste time being so nasty? Best of luck to your team it is always a great pleasure to watch Haverford play.
Stoga, Win or lose Friday you guys have worked hard as a team and support one another off the ice as well as on the ice and should always take pride in that fact. You are a unique team.
