Congrats to Lasalle for being, in my opinion, the most talented, dominant and overall successful team in their level of play in PA hockey in the last 10 years. Looks like a 9-1 loss is not what the Western PA people were envisioning. Glad the East won! I also feel great about HGP's 4-1 loss to Lasalle in FC Finals, which was 1-1 for a good part of the game.

So what happens with Lasalle now?

Are all of these underclassmen really leaving? Tyson, Schmidt, Denczi, Wallin, Pascal, Varley, Antoni.

Any of these kids thinking of coming back now?

HGP Fans

That is the Western Pa people who did not see LaSalle play in Meadville. NA, McDowell and Meadville people and I saw it in January, but yesterday was an exclamation point.

I sat with some Pine Richland parents at the Banquet, they asked me to "describe" La Salle. I didn't want to give away any info so I just said, "The Peters Township team of 2003 is the best I've seem since 2000....this La Salle team is right behind them".

I believe Schmidt is going to Northwood and Tyson to Westminster. Whether or not this is official I am not sure. I think some of the others are still looking to go away as well, but nothing official has been decided as of yet.

That Peters team was awsome, they had 11 kids play juniors and 5 go NCAA DI. I played with a couple of them in college and allthough I never saw there team play back than I can only imagine all of them on one high school team.

Prior to seeing that PT team play....I was chatting with some PT parents, coaches, etc.

I told them that they were in trouble against Holy Ghost (Gunderson as a Senior, Worthington as a Junior) And I mentioned how physical Lawall can be on the blue line.

They just smiled and said we have Minella for him. I had no idea who minella was, so I just smiled and nodded.

Before the game I was walking through the iceline locker room hallway. Minella was dressed from the waist down, taping his stick in the hallway with no shirt on. I took a look at him and said "If that's Minella, Ghost might be in trouble" He was HUGE and RIPPED! The PT Coach probably had him stand out there on purpose.

Boy did they make me eat my words after the game.

How good is LaSalle looking for next year? Will they be that strong again?

That good? No way. Maybe a once in a life time situation. Also besides the four seniors that are leaving Schmidt is going to Northwood. Tyson to Westminster and I have heard that Pascal, G. Antoni and possibly Varley are leaving also. That doesn't mean they won't be competetive. Just not dominate.
