Last year the 'Stoga HH game in the Flyers Cup got pretty rough with HH winning the game and the Physical battle. So far Haeberle has been having his way with defenses and goalies this year and i think he will contiune to do so because of the lack of talent he is playing aganist (Not to say he is not skilled).

I think the game will be a little higher scoring than 3-2 i would have a 5-4 game and I will give Haverford the edge.

Tonight O'hara plays Holy Ghost Prep at the Skadium. At the start of the season these 2 teams looked like they were going to battle it out for the #2 seed in the Flyers Cup. Not sure what to think now i haven't seen either team play but O'hara lost on a 1 sided affair to La Salle and HGP was "upset" and blown out (according to the score I don't need to hear any goalie excuses again) by Roman.

Coll (O'hara) and Saravelli (HGP) are two of the best forwards in high school hockey. I think tonight will come down to which team can slow down the other teams best player and which teams second lines steps up and puts the puck in the net.

I give the edge to O'hara for more expeirence in the net and I think they have a stronger core of players to help out thier stars.

Will any of the Ghost faithful be making the trip south tonight??

I think Haverford's predicted demise for this year has been a bit premature. They may not be as good as last year's team, but they've done quite well so far. I think Haverford wins big.

With that said, HH only has a few really talented players on their team compared to last years. The talent this year has also gone down. I was one to say that HH would not do well. I think it will be seen tonight how well they will do this year. Good matchup with Haberle and Karpinski vs. The brothers. Hazelton will have a good game in net

Garnet Valley also lost to Boyertown 7-6 with their starting goalie and they only beat an Interboro team that is getting off to a bad start looking at the matchup I'd predict Haverford to win now that Hazelton is back and that this is Stoga's fist game against a team on their level

Great game tonight at Ice Line...Henderson v Rustin. A hard played game by both teams. It was a nail biter until the third period when Henderson got 2 unanswered goals. The big difference was 2 power play goals by Henderson. Rustin had 6 penalties that hurt them while Henderson got whistled for 3. Both teams are very evenly matched regarding talent and both gave each other fits in the offensive zone. Both teams are well coached and stay within their games. For Henderson they (again) got scoring from four different players, #59, #97, #61, and #45. This will certainly create problems for line match ups by oppenents. Rustin's goals came on points from only two players, #12, and 98. The truth is the game could easily gone the other way. Give Henderson credit for gutting it out. Also give Mattern props in spite of a huge Rustin crowd trying unsuccessfully to get him off his game. He must have been chuckling at the lack of creative heckling on Rustin's part. Mattern, you suck only goes so far when you're up 4-2 and in the drivers seat. If Henderson ever gets their real, team game going the opposition will have nightmares. I think we've only seen half throttle so far.

I was at the game and was really hoping for something more creative than "Mattern, You Suck"

Mattern never acknowledged the crowd (to his credit) and played well in victory.

I also was at the game...the two teams are pretty evenly matched with the difference being goaltending and that was evident last night. Mattern was the difference in this game...he is arguably one of the top goaltenders in the area and wouldn't expect the infamous 'you suck" chant to rattle him. I agree Matt, to Mattern's credit he should alot of poise and composure last night and played real well in Henderson's win. Hard to believe this kid is only a junior.

Put Mattern in Rustin's net and they win that game.

Henderson & Rustin game was well played, give Mattern allot of credit he is a great goalie. What we could see at the game was Henderson coach double shifting 2 key players, not only were they double shifted they were out on every power play & penalty kill. Not to say that these players do not deserve ice time, but this is high school hockey you have 20 players play them all. Sure at key times you have special teams but as we all noticed there were some other players who play very good hockey that sat the bench and did not get quality ice time.

Yes, it is high school hockey, but it is varsity hockey you play to win! You always want your key players out there in key situations. You need to have the guys out there that the players have faith in and can get the job done

haverford beat stoga 6 to 2 friday night . haverford dominated the whole game.

haverfordfan...im assuming your on haverford and have a biast view towards the game, but stoga did outshoot haverford and missed many key oppurtunites such as open nets,posts, and breakaways. yes haverford did come out with the win in the end but it was not dominated by haverford.

Stoga was also missing two very good players and it will be interesting to see what happens if they meet again in flyers cup.

6-2? not dominated? I wasn't at the game but if there two key players aka the brothers cant score and when one gets mad when his brother gets hit and goes off that shows poor sportsmanship and lack of domination. My assumption is by looking at the points that Haberle and Karpinski dominated the game

u obviously werent mandell, the game was not dominated by them at all..also why does everyone expect the "brothers" to do everything. they are more then a 2 man team and them blame should not be put on them after every loss, i dont think its fair. i guess well have to wait til flyers cup to see them meet again with stoga having a full roster. haverfordfan, u can be cocky n as confident as u want but i can assure u a closer game then that next time around.
