After finally seeing Marple I believe the are way overrated and stoga was obviously the better team. stoga's first line could not be stopped but the other lines gave them no help. they also had a disallowed goal and a missed penalty shot. it eventually came down to goaltending and marple had numerous weak goals. i think stoga outshot them somewhere in the area of 45-25. but i guess none of that matters because marple got the W anyway.

i dont know if i would go as far as marple being way overrated. I didnt get to see the marple vs. stoga game but i herd that the game was pretty evenly played. Stogas top line is one of the better lines in high school hockey but Iv watched stoga play numerouse times before and almost every shift ull find one of the brothers hanging high looking for a breakaway pass. If stoga wants to go somewhere in flyers cup i think they'll have to play better defense but they do have the talent to go far into flyers cup. On the other hand, i dont believe u can say marple is overrated. Wins over Haverford, Springfield, stoga, and a tie to haven cant possibly be all from luck.

Anyone have a final on La Salle Salesianum? I would imagine it may be a statement game with La Salle coming off their first loss and no club games over the weekend.
Hcky848- As hockeyfreak stated it is hard to say Marple is overrated. Stoga's 2 losses came against HH and Springfield which Marple beat. You are right, 1 goal was disallowed but that was because a Stoga forward dislodged the net. There was a penalty shot by one of the brothers and he didn't come close to the net. Stoga scored 1 goal on a 5-3 pp and another on what some said should have been whistled dead with the puck under the goalie pad. Stoga scored 3 goals in the 1st and then did not score again until a minute left in the game.
Marple had 2 bad games against PV and WC East. Maybe they lost to PV because they were looking ahead to HH and Springfield in the following weeks and WC East because they were not playing well since the winter break. Maybe they have to learn how to win outside of IceWorks and the Skatium.
Marple is a good team. They have 1 AAA player and he is a freshman. I believe there are 2 AA players and the rest play A or do not play travel hockey. One may not agree with their "prevent" defense in the last 3-5 minutes of the game but it is hard to argue with 11-2-3.
