Snipe I don't know who you are but shut up...you are saying things that you have been a part of or your team has been a part of, you know that if it was such a tough game for your team you would be just as fustrated. I regret the actions that took place and yes I was a part of them, at any level, any team if the officials are that dumb to allow two teams to go off at the same time there will be trouble
Well, snipe, I don't think a lack of discipline has cost either of my teams too many games; the problem is the lack of discipline after we've already lost.
Using tonite as an example, Methacton was a faster, larger, stronger team and they controlled most of the play but Ridley tempers didn't flare until after the buzzer had sounded. I know it's not what you'd hope for, but discipline didn't cost us tonite's close game. And then of course you have read about the situation in Hershey and the officiating which goes on there so...
Jay, I agree tonite should never had happened had the refs done their jobs following the handshake, and frustration was a huge part of it, at least for Ridley. Then again, Methacton players were equally frustrated the entire game until they scored with a minute left so if the score had stayed 0-0, maybe they would have caused the fight at the end? Who knows.

I think it's time for the local leagues and USA Hockey for that matter to adopt the pre game handshake. I've seen too many post game brawls that could be avoided.

Pregame handshake and/or make the refs forbid the teams from leaving the ice together. Sure, it's a bit of an inconvenience but most refs and coaches do it anyway, why not just make it official?

North Penn outshoots CB South 33-13 yet still loses the game 2-1. Two very costly roughing penalties gave the Titans a two man advantage which they converted into the two goals they needed to seal the deal. Lack of discipline by a few NP players may hurt them down the stretch.
about the after game BS that went on in the ridley game.... ridley was not the cause of the fights at the end.. yes there was a small hit that happend at the ridley bench with no time but it was the methacton captian # 8 who was pissed off all game and # 12 the kid who got hit that came over to ridleys side of the ice to start with them and it was those same kids who started the bitching in the handshake line i think ridley handeled it well and for methacton ..there captian was askin 4 a fight
It doesn't matter who started it and there's really no reason to call out players now that's it over with. Point is now how referees let an obviously bad situation get worse, especially when you think about how preventable it was.
Let's move on though, I'd say we've talked about it enough.

I'm not sure if those games will be that good. I think that HH, Henderson and Conestoga should all win easily. Though the Haven v. HH game might be interesting because I think it will help to clarify whether or not Haven's record is indicative of how good they really are. I'm a bit skeptical that they have had somewhat of a soft schedule.
The haverford game should be a good one, both teams have a great amount of offensive power so it should be interesting... the henderson game should be an easy win for henderson and the marple stoga game should also be good.. no walk in the park for stoga considering marple beet haverford and springfield, both of which beat stoga
Haven Vs. Haverford High I don’t think you can say Haven has a “soft” schedule. Playing every central league team at least once and having to play Springfield, Conestoga, Penncrest, Garnet Valley is not easy task. However their non-central games have been a bit weak (Interboro and Haverford School) but you can’t really knock them yet since they only have 1 loss. I give Haverford high the end in this offensive battle by 3.
Conestoga Vs. Marple Everyone knows about ‘Stoga’s offense but their D has been playing great for them and only 2 losses (HH, Springfield). But I think this game will be an indication to how good Marple really is as a team they had a very weak game against WC East so can Johnson and D’Urbano beat Stoga’s D, and will Taxin be able to shut down ‘Stoga’s good forwards. I say no, and I take Stoga by 3.
Henderson Vs. Penncrest I think this is the most interesting match up of the night. Penncrest is on a skid not have won a game since December 21st (Upper Darby) and going (0-6-2) but playing well and keeping it close in all of those games. Henderson also doesn’t look as unstoppable as before losing to east and only beating Rustin by a goal. Latta has only had 4 points in the past 4 games. Is this just a slump or have people figured out how to slow Latta down? Also Mattern hasn’t played as well as of late, as he did in the flyers cup last year. I think Penncrest D plays good positional hockey not giving up many high percentage shots and Menta is one of the better goaltenders in the ICHSL. I think Penncrest CAN beat Henderson but I am not sure they will. I see a 2-goal game, but a tie wouldn’t surprise me.
