No American Gladiators tonight due to the State of the Union Address. So I will probably listen to HGP vs. Pennsbury at 9pm on WBCB 1490am instead of listening to the state of the Union. Sad. I know.

Either way, anyone have any predictions for this game? It starts in about an hour. It is pretty unpredictable. So it should be an interesting listen for anyone who needs to fill that American Gladiators void (or just likes good hockey games).

(one of the guys who broadcasts is a friend of mine, so why not give him the plug?)

my prediction is a 6-6 tie.

Pennsbury had plenty of power play opportunities too. A few 5 on 3s. Im curious too see the score sheet. Holy Ghost just outplayed them, plain and simple, and shut-down the Barnes line. It was a rough, physical game. Holy Ghost's defense looked much better then it has in the last month.

Pennsbury will have a very good shot at the AA Flyers Cup, as long as they can get goals from their top line.

Iceworks Rink 2:

Conestoga - 4
Penncrest - 1

Ridley - 3
Garnet Valley - 3

Ridley/Garnet was a pretty good game, they outshot us 35-20something. Matt Kloton had two goals and credit a GV defensemen for Ridley's first goal after he made a perfect deflection which beat his own goaltender on a shot that was going wide at 1 mph. Strootman, Contipodero, and someone else scored for Garnet, 2/3 were on powerplays.

Tom Seravalli 1g, 2a. Andrew Zemzik 1g, 2a. Nicholas Seravalli 3g, 1a. Patrick Corcoran 4a. Kellen Wojnar 1g, 1a. Rough physical game all around. Plently of powerplay (5-3 for over 3 minutes) for Pennsbury.

I heard shots were 73 - 11. That Bonner goalie had to get the day off from school today. Haverford High 4 - Haverford School 1.

73-11? How can one team get off 73 shots in a 51 minute game? That can't be right - at that rate the Bonner goalie should have been the first star of the game.

Was told by a reliable source that was the shot total; now take into account how shots on goal are recorded these days by some of the scorekeepers for these games. It is pretty inconsistent everywhere you look.

Don't misunderstand - I wasn't questioning the reporting, I am just dumbfounded that a team can get off that many shots in agame. Must have been really one sided.
