Is the A poll really relevant? Springfield has over half the votes when they have 3 losses in the icshl central league which is way worse the then icshl south league..wc east, henderson, and kennett are way better then springfield...who do you guys believe that should be ranked 1st?

The poll has no relavence, it's something for the people to voice their opinions.

It will have no bearing on who gets the #1 seed.

I have a good idea of who will get the #1 seed, but since I am on the seeding committee, I will have to keep that to myself until March 1st.

okay that is good, i thought it might have something to do with it...but it is probably just that springfield has the most followers or many people that have played against them voted for them

Actually the contest is done by Rick Gallagher of the SHSHL, he just used this site to promote it.

I will send him an email and ask him if he's doing it again.

Now that gambling is legal ask him to charge $5 to enter and the winner gets 1/2 the pot??
That site is a lot of fun....

I think the level of competition each team played this year will have a big impact on their seeding? What do you think Matt? (if you can say)

competition probably should matter...it would be dumb to stand it on record alone

Hey Jim,

Now that you say gambling is legal, can I put a C-note down on Oscar De La Hoya over Floyd Mayweather?

Yeah, Springfield is absolutely horrendous. So is the Central Division - always has been. Don't think any of their teams have even sniffed a Flyers Cup victory.

Anyway...my pics are below. The #1's this year are unbelievably obvious.

A - Kennett
AA - Haverford
AAA - Lasalle

Of course the level of competition matters, that's the whole point of the having the seeding committee. If it went strictly by record, teams would load up with patsies on thier schedule to go undefeated and get the #1 seed.

A team can be 15-1, but if they didnt play anyone good.....the record alone isnt getting them the #1 seed.

I wouldn't call Springfield horrendous. From what I saw they looked pretty good, just not as good as Kennett. And wasn't the Flyers Cup Championship between two Central Division teams last year? Springfield and Penncrest.

CoachK was being sarcastic....he's like that sometimes.

A Central team has won the 'A' Flyers Cup six years in a row.
2006 Penncrest
2005 Penncrest
2004 Radnor
2003 Radnor
2002 Radnor
2001 Springfield
2000 Pennsbury (Lower Bucks)

I wish I had the loot to back you on that...

I guess if hockey ever phases out, the state could fill the rinks with slot parlors?
