Roman 4-1 over Rock North. North didnt play particularly well. Fynes was great in net for Roman.

Just when i looked at Bud Wilkens and said "Why is McStravick out there with less than a minute to play in a 4-1 game? Why risk an injury or a stupid penalty" Not five seconds after I said that did McStravick take a stupid penalty....a two hander to a North players face with 3 seconds left to play and the puck behind the net with two Roman defenders already tying up the Rock forward. I believe he recieved a game misconduct, but the scoresheet hasnt been posted yet.

Judge 4 C.B. South 4 in the late game.

Havent seen Salesianum this year.

Roster looks like they definitely have some talent. They give up a ton of goals. Do they have horrible defense? Horrible goaltending? Horrible coaching? Or is it a combination of the 3?

First off I'm sorry if this may offend any Sallies people out there, but I'm going to try to give an objective evaluation.

Salesianum is a funny team. They definately have talent (4 Jr.Flyer Jr.Bs - to start with), but the team seems to not have a good plan or sense of what to do. They have good team speed, but their offensive attack seems to be disjointed with alot of one and done type of play. They do set up well on the power play and move the puck well, but they don't get the puck to the net nearly enough. Defensively, they seem to be soft, particularly down low against the cycle (looping instead of stop/start). Goaltending seems to be fair to midland. I won't go so far as to say it's the coaching, because none of us have the inside perspective on this team (perhaps the players cannot or will not execute what is being asked of them). That being said, I think that this team is significantly underachieving for the talent that they possess.

Same here, going by last year. Not to throw anyone under the bus, but it really looked like they lacked quality coaching.

Took a trip to the Skatium to watch the Haverford v. Henderson game. This was a scrimmage game and not a league scheduled contest. The game was played as if it was with refs, etc and full 15:00 minute periods. When all was said and done, Haverford came out on top 4 - 2. Good game. Henderson has more talent but Haverford outworked them and Hazelton made some nice saves.

Yeah Hazelton won that "game" for Haverford.

I think Henderson's D is used to playing better forwards than HH D. Baker was the only one who seemed to slow down Latta on 1 on 1's. Cottle didn't look his best on O tonight but made up for it in playing 2 way hockey as usual and was a great back checker. I think he is the best all around forward in the Inter-County or Eastern league.

Heberle (spelling) always seemed stop or not play D at all and speed out of the zone to get a home run pass from his teammates, many of the passes were long but he did manage to connect on one and score on the breakaway with a very pretty shot. However when he tried to take Blaker 1 on 1 more than once Blaker stripped him of the puck.

Sun Valley 5
Upper Darby 4

We greatly underestimated them. My backup started let in three quick ones and I was put in (sad to see someone have such a short day). We had no momentum untill the third period when Darby got tired

AAA action:
La Salle-9
O'hara-1

Murry (goalie) and Coll didn't play for O'hara, still most likley would not have changed the outcome of the game, maybe a closer score though.

Game was like the score said. All La Salle, the first few goals were just great puck movement in the zone with a forward being able to catch the goalie coming post to post and putting in in.
