Below are the top 10 scorers in the ICSHL A/AA and AAA, respectively. Which group work make the better team? Looks pretty even to me.
A/AA Cottle, Alex (66) Milana, Matthew (44) Slagis, Ben (20) Latta, Billy (61) Ignatuk, Mike (12) Masciantonio, Richard (23) Gaffney, William (98) Christie, Mike (7) Fiorillo, T.J. (77) Johnson, Chris (14) Vernon, Jeremy (83) AAA Seravalli, Nicholas (8) Patch, Ryan (58) Berkle, Adam (18) Birmingham, Joey (96) Criscuolo, Kyle (11) Meade, Steve (20) Zoldy, Kyle (7) Tyson, Ryan (17) Seravalli, Thomas (87) Schmidt, Adam (11) |

Theres 11 AAA teams, 3 of which are not AAA teams on talent.
Theres what, 25 teams in the ICSHL AA/A division? Much tougher to score points in AAA, I would take the AAA team of top scorers over the AA/A team, regardless. |

Are you nuts?....AAA this year is no where near where it used to be. Almost all of the AA/A scores would prob be top scores in AAA. For example, Slagis, Haberle, Cottle, Latta, they can all score at any level. Don't get me wrong tho, Seravalli and a few of the LaSalle kids are good too, but I think that there is barely a weakness in top players through the rankings this year

I dont think that, and I didnt say that, I know those kids would be some of the leading scorers in AAA. Its tougher to score points in the AAA league though is all I said, look at the totals. I dont think the teams would be that far off, I just think the AAA team is a little bit better. The AAA league is interesting this year. Since it began its traditionally been very top heavy with Lasalle, Malvern and GA having the most success, and them beating up on the rest of the teams. When it expanded, you would have your top 4 teams, and usually 1 would end up being the clear-cut top team by seasons end. This year Lasalle is the clear-cut best team, with probably the most dominating regular season ever. But from teams 2-7 (Malvern, Ohara, Judge, Ryan, HGP, Roman), I think any team could beat any other team out of these 6 on any given night. None of these teams are as good as the traditional top 4 teams of the past, but instead of having 4, theres now 7 teams that are all solid teams. I think going forward with the AAA division the goal would be to have 3-4 teams as talented as this years Lasalle team, with another 3-4 teams that are better then the 2-7 teams this year (on par with some of the top 4 teams of the past). This will take time, but it can be done. |
