No way 4-5 goals. Henderson played HGP in a controlled scrimmage and tied them in a game that the players didnt even want to go to. Lasalle is a different team than everyone, they are superior, but the rest of AAA is not superior to the top teams in AA or A. If you took a tourney and put the top 4 teams from AAA AA and A minus Lasalle, I would put money one of the AAA teams would not win.

raha --- I agree with you that Henderson played to their potential. On or about February 7, on this forum, I questioned why Henderson and several other teams were constantly being touted as the best, when it appeared to me that other teams could just as easily or even easier make that claim.
Just a week and a half ago, I described Henderson as one of the top 8-10 teams in the area, but not one of the top 2-3. I was correct then and the now final record makes that clear. They made it as far as the semis in the League and the quarters in the Cup? A real good team...not one of the top 2 or 3.

I dont think losing to the Flyers Cup champions in a game that could go either way takes you from top 2-3 to 8-10. Also im not sure what you mean by the "AREA?" Are we talking eastern PA, ICSHL or what?

This has become a meaningless conversation. I am saying that the record shows Henderson to have been among the top 8 to 10 teams discussed on this forum this season, perhaps 6th most successful, perhaps 8th most successful, maybe 4th or 5th. But not among the top 2 or 3. You have to look at the teams that did better when it counted before you rate Henderson. WC East, Perk. Valley, Rustin in A all bested Henderson at the end. Conestoga in AA is playing for the Flyers Cup...the rest us are sitting at home.
As I've said, Henderson had a real good team, but not one of the top 2-3.

The two best AA teams are Conestoga and Latrobe

The two best A teams are West Chester East and Quaker Valley.

You're right on target. What goes on on the ice is almost invariably more classy than what goes on in the stands, no matter who's playing.

That is true. I dont know that Hendersons fans where as bad as some but whenever you get 600plus high school kids in one area a good amount of which are drunk your going to have some bad chants. N mostly everything on the ice is over the second the games over. I know playing in college ive seen players come up to each after they litteraly fought each other and said good fight and game.

The worst I heard were the Rustin fans in the OT game against Hershey.

The fans behind the Hershey goalie inparticular were pretty vulgar with their chants. The iceline security just stood around and I actually went over and told the crowd that if they didnt watch their language, the whole section would be cleared out. (They actually thought I could do it, because they cleaned up their act)

Usually I wouldnt care, but their were women and small children in that section. I know they are kids, but I was a kid once, and was never that disrespectful around women and children.....when you're out with just the boys it's a different situation.

thank you icehockeyisfun - i was hoping hockeyman was not a player or parent - hard to imagine henderson players participating in nonsense - we know most of those players and they were not raised like that - they come from decent, competative families - they wouldnt be so public with their personal views...

i was forced to join this forum when hockeyman wrote unbeleivable untrue slanderous remarks about the player that lives in my house. they were so bad - 2 days after the henderson/east game they were posted- we got a call from someone on here - i jumped on - got a screen name, printed it for our attorney, replied to it - hockeyman removed that post but Matt would have removed the post and said he would remove future posts as soon as he sees them. so now i check everyday..

i do like the forum - a lot of good information and for the most part positive interaction in an agree to disagree environment -

glad you bothered to drill down - i apprecaite it and i am certain others do - this way there is no reason to try and reason with this person. thank you

Thanks from me, too, icehockeyisfun. I've always taken the attitude that, as long as my son is hanging around with his teammates or other hockey players, he'll be just fine. You've reinforced my faith in that judgement by determining that hockeyman isn't one.

Ok I dont agree with anything the kid said, at all.

But bringing a lawer into it is rediculous. This is a chat forum, no on can ever be phycially hurt from it so why does everyone take it so seriously? I think its been stated on here that hes not a player but if he was better he rant on here and get his aggressions out than a two hander to your kids heads.

i did not say i hired a lawyer. i showed our business lawyer - i would not pursue a lawsuit -our family reputation is important to us but im not crazy - i was very surprised to get the call that i needed to go do this in the first place - if you saw the post - maybe you would have found it offensive. maybe not - we did. this happened on 3/16...its not new...its in the past...the poster keeps posting other stuff - nothing like the post on 3/16. the rest is harmless - that one was not - all you have is your reputation. you cant let strangers slander your family and let it happen and laugh it off. trust me - it was bad...the rest is silly. agreed.
