That would be a great point but McDaniel is a Jr. (91). Still he is a good player.

I owe Mandell an apology for outing him on the spelling of McCullough's name. Sorry, Mandell! However, even I, a long-time name-mangler myself, had no idea who you were talking about.

Somebody suggested elsewhere on the board that we hold a skills contest. Maybe we add a Spelling Bee to go with the Fastest Skater, Hardest Shot, Shooting Accuracy contests. After all, the first requirement of college hockey is you have to be in college.

Carl --- Some of us have a difficult enough time coming up with intelligent, rational opinions. To further expect us to express them in a clear, erudite, and concise fashion, with correct spelling, punctuation, tense, and without dangling participles will, I think, be beyond the scope of many of us.

Boraske --- When I say "us", I'm clearly including myself in the group!

Here’s a wrinkle for this topic. Should you consider the actual grade you’re in or is it the grade that you SHOULD be in according to your birth date. Examples – if you’re born in June 1990 and a junior but most everyone else born the same time is in 12th grade or if you are born in January 1991 and a sophomore but most everyone else born the same time is in 11th grade.

Yeah...grade is grade. Remember when USA Hockey went to calender year from the old July through June format? Made it all just as simple.
