Henderson Varsity is a rock solid team on a 2 year roll that met and lost to wc east in the fc. the east team is good this year.

East was and is the hottest team in the flyers cup right now. That just goes to show you what having a hot team/hot goaltender can do.

I think east was under achieving this year and that is why they got the 9th seed but towards the end of the year starting at the Marple game they started to play like they were capable of all year. Last year I think Kennett was the best team at A and Rob Mattern started to heat up in the Flyers Cup and since he elevated his play to that level that’s how Henderson beat Kennett and won the state title. Another example is La salle last year, you would be hard pressed to find anybody who thinks HGP was better than La Salle last year, but they heated up when it counted and beat La Salle than went on to win the Flyers Cup.

Momentum is more important than most people think in sports. Example: During the PV-Sun Valley game when PV was down by 2 and even in the overtime I think Sun Valley had more confidence than PV did at that moment for the pure fact that Sun Valley surprised itself to even be in that situation so I think the players were more excited. However for PV they started to lose confidence and start getting nervous wondering why they were losing/in overtime. Although PV ended up winning still it was a lot closer than anyone could have expected.

Jigga, I would not underestimate Shawnee. They won 24 out of 26 games this season including their FC games. Based on the first two FC games they have scored more points than any other A teamand have their goalie has the best save percentage. It should be an interesting game

although wc east won, shawnee played very well and made crisp hard passes all night, way better than east did. the overtime goal that east scored was a fluke that the defensemn on shawnee put in himself after he mishandled the puck. Dragone and Mcdonald on shawnee were the top two players but Cruit had a point on all the goals i believe and was obviously number one star.

I was there - it was a good game. Our team doesn't face Shawnee during the season. They passed well, set up well, got pucks in the net. Played hard, had great teamwork - and they have a great amount of talent. Best of luck to them - they look like a young team so old teams beware...they made SJ proud tonight. We thought you palyed an awesome game.

East vs. Shawnee was another great FC game. Neither time could really control the flow of the game for more than a few minutes at a time. East would take a lead and Shawnee would tie it up. It felt like the momentum was begining to shift to Shawnee in OT but then a mishandled puck by Shawnee resulted in a self goal. A tough way to end a very compeitive and physical match. I hope this puts a stop in all the BS that the Jersey teams aren't competitve in FC.

East is gettin lucky the past 2 games, i wasnt there for there game tonight but it sound crappy, in the quarters against henderson at the end when henderson pulled its goalie it deflected off the ref and bounced right infront on the goal for alil tap in rather then being iced... henderson was gettin several chances with the extra attacker but the ref got in the way... oh well go rustin

that's not what happened at all, i was at that game friday night, the ref got in the way on a henderson pass which abled east to ice the puck and Lamont chased it down and tapped it in. It was pretty obvious that East cleared the puck all the way down
