For the christmas tourny at iceline we had been askd by russo to come onto a west chester "selects" team to enter and stop st marys from wining, where we ended up goin undefeated and beat malvern aaa and university school.
Jigga or Matt -- i was wondering what u thought if west chester was still one team how competitive we would have been in the AAA league
Not too shabby for a core of players. I would say that team could have finished in 2nd or 3rd place in AAA. Still La Salle had a stronger roster and the 2nd and 3rd lines would have trouble matching up with their 2nd and 3rd lines, like most teams had this year. However that WC team would be able to match up to La Salle defense better than any of the other AAA schools this year.

Jb - this isnt a bash just an opinion i have heard and liked-- having names on the back of jerseys simbolize individuals rather then a team... by just having a jersey like everyone elses with different numbers it symbolizes the team aspect so there isnt that one person you are looking for through out the game, instead your forced to watch everyone because you cant tell who anybody is unless you are a fan/parent ... i personally like no names on the jersey for high school sports cause without names on the jersey its more of a team aspect, but i wouldnt mind a list of players with #'s on paper.

I dont think Lasalle would stand a chance. Ever single player on offense averaged around a point per game and thats in the ICSHL. Plus they would have a really really talented and really really physical defense. Plus once you get by all that you have a Flyers Cup all star goalie, and one that will probaly be a Flyers cup all star goalie if East Wins.
change Nau from rustin with speroff... im a henderson guy, we all know that, but it wouldnt sit right to have speroff on a team over Casey Nau, after talkin to many players and watching speroff play id pick someone like Nau over him

I was thinking that but I wanted a little size and Speroff is huge, either way would be the best defense is pretty much all of high school hockey.
I don't pick the all-breakaway team but i would doubt it. However I think Ignatuk and Gaffney play AA quakers while those 6 la salle forwards play AAA for the minutemen who are bound for nationals.
BTW Snipe are you a rusin or east fan, i can never figure it out...

I think Lasalle would do to the West Chester team what they did to every other PA hockey team.... beat them by 3 or 4 goals at least.
Sure West Chester would have alot of talent, but Lasalle has been playing together for the last 2 years, and I think Lasalle has more talent on paper then the West Chester team anyway. They have 10 kids on the Minutemen going to nationals, and some other tier 1 players.
Latta and Cottle are the only 2 forwards on the West Chester team that would crack Lasalle's top 6. All are good players, but most would be lucky to be on Lasalle's 3rd line.
In the tournament they beat Malvern by a goal. I think Lasalle would handle West Chester easily. I think the more evenly matched game, with one and done implications, would be West Chester vs Malvern or Holy Ghost.
Ignatuk & Gaffney would easily make any area AAA team if they chose to play there. You got Latta, Cottle & Knoedel curently @ 18AAA and Lamont, McGee & Christie @ 16AAA.
