players CAN do both Midgets and HS. Midgets run from Aug through late Oct. The Midget season begins again in March with playoffs/Nationals.

The HS governing body states "one team per season" with the HS hockey season beginning after Nov 1st. So as long as a player is not playing club hockey after Nov 1st - he/she is meeting this rule. Its High School season NOT USA Hockey, etc.

So there are two types of midget teams. Full season and split season?

The AAA sounds like it would correspond to some of "junior" teams we have around here.

Yes -- two midget teams.

For example:

Cleveland Jr Jacks Pre/Post team plays AAA Midgets until Nov and resumes play following the HS season. with sights set on USA Hockey Nationals.

Cleveland Barons play "full" season AAA Midget hockey in the Little Ceasers league in Detroit. Typically practice (at least) three times a week.

dont get me started on some of our "junior teams" Wink

This is also done in Massachusetts and NY as well.
