I made a list of what I think are the top 10 teams in the area regardless of leagues, and level. The way I did these rankings was taking a team “at their best” meaning with no injuries and assuming none of their players are having an off night. What does everyone elses list look like?

Top 10

1) La Salle- SHSHL AAA
2) Cardinal O’Hara-EHSHL AAA
3) Malvern-ICSHL AAA
4) Haverford High EHSHL AA
5) Conestoga- ICSHL AA
6) Perkiomen Valley- ICSHL A
7) Holy Ghost Prep- LBCSHL AAA
8) Kennett- ICSHL A
9) Washington Township- SJHSIHL AA
10) Springfield – ICSHL A

ICSHL- 5
EHSHL- 2
SHSHL- 1
LBCSHL- 1
SJHSIHL- 1

AAA- 4
AA- 3
A-3

I know that Haverford High Beat O’Hara so people might give me flack for that and that Conestoga beat Haverford but these are still what I feel the rankings are.

On the bubble:
Shawnee SJHSIHL A
Pennsbury- LBCSHL AA
W.C. Henderson- ICSHL A
Pennridge- SHSHL AA
Archbishop Ryan SHSHL AAA
Lower Merion ICSHL AA

sorry man, im biased but holy ghost is much better then stoga or pv. im pretty sure in a 1 game series hgp would beat haverford high too. the top 4 teams in the area are the top 4 aaa teams, with haverford being the only team to challenge that top 4.

I don't think HGP would beat haveford high but, 5-7 were pretty much interchangable for me, I think HGP would play very close games with a healthy stoga and PV, it could go either way

Jigga,

Generally we see things the same way, but I think you are on drugs with this list. Holy Ghost, Ryan and Roman Catholic are all better than Haverford and any team listed after that. Bishop Shanahan and St. Joe's Prep are better than the last five. You are selling the remaining AAA teams way to short.

Haha i have been sitting in the computer lab at school since 9:00 AM becuase my 11:40 class was cancaclled.

I totally forgot about Ryan and Roman as teams to be honest, i would put both of them behind HH and Stoga though. HH whipping of O'hara was no fluke, if that game was played aganin i think O'hara would come out on top but I think HH could beat all the AAA teams with the exception of La Salle, O'hara (I know they did but you know what i mean) and Malvern. I think a HH-HGP game would be a close game that could go either way.

But i think those HH and Stoga could handle Ryan and Roman.

Well I guess we have to hope for a Haverford/Pennsbury Flyer's Cup match up. Hopefully, Pennsbury will win the match up and you will be made to look silly because Ryan, Holy Ghost and Roman all beat Pennsbury this year. If Haverford wins it still keeps all four teams in the same conversation, but I think the AAA teams would win.

I think anything after LaSalle can be debated. All of the AAA teams beat each other: Holy Ghost beat O'Hara by 2, O'Hara beat Malvern by 2, and Holy Ghost lost to Malvern by 1

Hi,

I'd rank Henderson at #8, then Kennett after them. As posted on another topic both teams are 2-2-1 against each other this year. Henderson is the only team to handle Kennett this year. Goals for is the first tie breaker in standings determinations and Henderson had buckets and buckets of them this year. They did it with class too! No cheap shots either. (Can you tell I'm a fan of H?)

Rankings
1) La Salle
2) Holy Ghost Prep
3) Cardinal O’Hara
4) Malvern prep
5) Haverford High
6) Washington Township
7) Henderson
8) Kennett
9) Archbishop Ryan
10) Conestoga

On The Bubble- Shawnee, Springfield, Perk Valley

I understand that people will use the argument of why isn’t HGP 1 they wont he flyers cup. These rankings are poorly based on my own opinion on who is the strongest team; the flyers cup did change some of my rankings but not all of them. Either way on the AAA trophy it will say “Holy Ghost Prep” for 2007 so my rankings are just my opinion. I except to get flack for Conestoga dropping to #10 since I had them high before, and even thought they made it to the semi finals with their star player, in no game did the impress me as much as they did in the season. Henderson and Kennet are about even in my mind, I think in a 3 game series I could go either way but like I said about HGP on the A trophy it will say “Henderson” not Kennent so again my rankings are just my opinion.

HH should be above Ohara...they get to much credit just because they are a AAA team, they are a good team but HH beat them 7-1. HH is prob the second best team behind lasalle in the east part of PA

I don't think HH would beat O'hara or Holy Ghost. HH d couldn't hang with the forwards of eitehr of those teams, they were able to keep Davis in check but thats 1 very strong forward. O'hara has 2 and Ghost has 2. Plus 2nd and 3rd lines. HH has a deep bench but sometimes they don't always go to it in tough games.
