I don't know for sure, but they all prob. played together at some point in their careers prob on Quakers or Jr. Flyers or both. How big are each of the school districts? Compared to Haverford, Strathaven, Ridley, or Marple?

What two D were missing during the Boyertown game? Why make excuses for a Christmas tournament? Every team either has injuries or were missing people the past weekend.

For instance Council Rock's best player, Taylor Lockhart was not dressed in the Haverford game either

Baker And Ferrell did not play aganist boyertown and Karp and ferrell did not play against dowingtown west. The fords were missing Haeberle,Ferrell,Baker and the there starting goaltender vrs council rock not saying anything bad about thoses teams just saying if haverford had them players at every game scores would have been different.

As has been stated before , everyone was missing guys , some more than less. Boyertown was missing their leading goal scorer and two defencemen for the entire tourny , oh well , stuf happens .

Until HS hockey starts taking the holiday tournament games as seriously as HS basketball teams take their holiday tournaments, its tough to take too much out of the game results.
Because other HS sports have a defined season and a limited number of games, all the games count. When the Chester HS basketball team goes off to play big-time, out of state opponents at a Christmas tournament, I bet no one on that team goes skiing instead. Christmas tournaments are a chance to play somebody besides the usual suspects and see how teams that won't otherwise see each other measure up. I suspect La Salle had everyone at their Rhode Island tournament. As long as hockey is on its Endless Season of parallel club and HS games, it will be hard to get the proper commitment to these tournaments. They could matter a lot, but not this year.

I agree with Carl, and am a firm believer in a split season. I think HS Hockey should be a HS winter sport, and club Hockey should have fall and spring seasons and not overlap with HS Hockey during the winter HS season.
I don't see it occuring here anytime in the future because four groups with different agendas have to work together to make it happen. (Rink Owners, The Atlantic District, High School Organizations, and Club Teams)
There is a lot of cross over between these four groups but no one seems to have both the vision and the determination/will to pull it together. This is not to trash the many hard working and dedicated men and women who work in all these areas of hockey in our area every day, in my opinion they are all good people and they are all working hard at what they do with the good intentions for all their players.
It's going to take years to pull split seasons together, and a lot of compromise. I'm rooting for the people like Carl who are trying to get a dialogue going on it.
