None of the posts against me or the coaches have come from the west. They came from a disgruntled parent who was deleted from the board using one alias and re-appeard using another.

So with all this being said, do you think any of the East teams will be able to go out there and win it?

The Italian Oven up at the mall is actually a decent pregame meal. It's a step above Olive Garden.

Rey Azteca has some great Mexican food (and oddly enough has a Warminster location inside an old Pizza Hut)

Oh, while I remember, the players still have to walk through the concourse to get to the ice surface.

The Chiefs enter the ice through the far side of the rink while the visitors drop down through the side door.

What happens if the AAA game goes into an overtime marathon? Johnstown plays Cinci at 7 p.m. Sure it's at 7 p.m. but warm-ups start at 6:20.

Puck drops for the AAA game at 3, but what if it goes into several overtime periods? What if the first two tilts go into overtime?

Dicky: I, along with the on-ice officials and some of the other league officials, learned that the Flyers Cup actually has that situation covered in their operating rules. If a rink is unable to continue a game, the game goes to a shoot out. In the AA game, had Conestoga not scored, barring Comcast making an exception and televising the fourth overtime instead of the beginning of the AAA game, the game would have gone to a shootout. That is the reason the AA awards were not handed out on the ice. I am sure that the state championship has an equivalent operating rule.

It's way too much to type but after speaking with Jeff and seeing some of the fees those West teams have to pay.... I'm convinced that I took up the wrong profession. There is a group of people up there who are making a substantial profit. I don't know if these funds end up in the league accounts or somebodys pocket but based on what Jeff showed me.. THere is a lot of loot being made.

One thing that comes to mind was.. Two years ago the gate was supposed to be $5 and when we arrived it jumped to $7. The two bucks was not a big deal if it was going to the kids.

The whole trophy thing... That is a disgrace and shows just how screwed up the whole system is. I have never seen a case where a team wins a trophy and cant keep it ( at least until the following season). If a team in the east wins, they have to drive 6 hours, find the little guy with the tux and white gloves, wait for him to get a pardon from the president, then go to the vault, use the secret password to finally open the box so you can view the trophy you won?

One last thing, Make sure you lock your locker rooms. Some steroid dude from that rink entered Ohara's locker room and shook down their pockets. Leave all your cash, cell phones and ipods with your parents.

I will share two Pittsburgh Club experiences...now many years old. As a squirt, my sons club team was not permitted to play game 2 of a tourney after thrashing the tournament directors kids team 9 - 0 until we produced birth certificates. The other was just atrocious refereeing by a single ref and single lineslman and an honest Hornet parent lamenting that this is why they have a hard time getting top teams to come to Pittsburgh.

All this being said...Players...don't read this post. Don't let it be an excuse ....deal with it on the scoreboard.

My son played for tha team and I remember that well. We ended up meeting the tournament directors sons team in the championship and beating them again.(although not as lopsided as the first time) We never went back to that tournament or any other Pittsburgh tournament. Not worth the hassle.

Oh, I forgot, but was reminded by someone out west. Make sure your team all has matching socks.

Not matching = No play
