The War Memorial has just gone through a $ 4 million dollar renovation which included the compressor, new boards and much of the arena. The rink is alot colder than it used to be and the ice is better. The drop off to the ice when you enter near the benches is about a foot and a half step, so watch your step when entering the ice.

I read all of the stories written and have to tell you all that I don't know what you are talking about. If you don't expect the warmest nicest people in the world to greet you at the State Finals, you are sorely mistaken Just tell them you know me and you will be treated like royalty

Remember this is supposed to be a great experience for the players and coaches and the less you say to anyone, the better and just play the game and don't look for any favors.

All you need to know about them is the fiasco with the trophies. If they're truly in it for the good of the kids, etc. Why would they refuse to allow the winner to keep the trophy for the year.

When we won in 2005, we just skated off with it and no one said a thing. Everyone still wants to know how that happened. I honestly don't know, no one ever said a word to us about it.

Things like small locker rooms, delays, nit picking over paperwork, etc aren't cheating, they're just done to make it as difficult for a team to win as they can. Is that in the spirit of HS athletics?

The agreed upon admission for states was always $5. Until 2006 when the West decided to change it to $7 without telling anyine until they arrived at the rink. Probably to fund their officers salaries. The West operates under their own set of rules, cooperates with no one and is only concerned with furthering themselves -- not PA HS Hockey.
