Though the Flyers Cup doesnt start for another 2 months (yawn), it is getting down to that time of the season when the AAA seeds will be determined. What are your predictions?

Monday night at Grundy there are two huge AAA games:

Ryan vs Judge at 715: the biggest rivalry in lower bucks and one of the biggest rivalries in area high school sports. Ryan beat Judge 4-2 in the first game of the season, but since has seen a lot of club turmoil (they are on their 3rd coach- but he is a good coach). Judge is going for a high seed in the flyers cup but their best defenseman is injured. Should be interesting. Any predictions?

HGP vs. Malvern Prep @ 9pm

Both teams need this win for Flyers cup seeding. Malvern is also going for a high seed (possibly the #2) while Ghost is on a hot streak lately, but has dropped many of their designated AAA games (while beating the same teams in non-designated AAA games). Any predictions? (this game will be broadcast on the radio and internet wbcb1490.com)

Flyers cup starts March 10th..thats a little over a month not two. So don't yawn too much you might oversleep and miss it!

Im hoping for a Judge loss and an HGP win. I really like our chances against Malvern. Last I heard, Tommy Seravalli will not play, but Robbie Hoffman will.

I do not understand why you would want Ryan to beat Judge. Win or lose this game, Judge has 6 wins in AAA and the tie-breaker against Ghost. They will ultimately be seeded higher than Ghost in the FC, regardless of Monday's outcomes. Ryan, however, can clinch a higher FC seed with a win against Judge and an HGP loss against Malvern. Since you are an "HGP fan", I don't understand why you would root for Ryan in this game (or ever for that matter). As far as the LBCSHL standings, Judge can only get that first round bye from Ghost if they beat Ryan AND Roman and Ghost loses to Delaware powerhouse Salesianum (who lost to Judge in an 11-1 "barnburner" on Friday night). So, since I will undoubtedly be bored after work tomorrow, would you care to elaborate on your reasoning? (I hope your reason isn't "because I don't like Judge," though I've heard that before. I've said that before.)

Always wondered what that name was all about. Anyway, I yawned (expressed dismay really) because of the fact that at least one AAA team out of the LBCSHL will lose in the first round of the league playoffs on Monday February 11th. That's a month to sit around waiting for Flyers cup. At least two more teams will lose the following Monday and have to sit around for 3 weeks. Pretty beat isn't it?


As far as my predictions, I won't make any, since I took the Pats -12 and the over. But I would like to see Judge and Ghost win this game for many reasons (mainly AAA logistically, but hockey-political and sentimental reasons have weight too).

Anyone else have any insight on these games or AAA? Or do I have to start insulting people to get a response?

I didnt see the Judge scores from their last 2 AAA games posted, because they were late going up. I realized before your post that even if Judge lost there next 2 games, and Ghost beats Malvern, Judge will still have the tie-breaker.

At this time, I could care less who wins the Judge vs Ryan game, because now that those scores have been posted, it impossible for Ghost to get a #3 Flyers Cup seed. Ghost will be seeded wherever it plays out now. In my opinion it wont really matter where Ghost is seeded now, if its not going to be in the top 3.....it was a longshot anyway.
