Something different this year going on at JRF 2008-2009 tryouts regarding midget and junior age players. 16u is for 93’s only. 92’s need to tryout for the 18u or Jr B teams. Seems that 16u is officially 15u at JRF. Seems that they are positioning the Jr B team to be their top team and not the 18u as previous years.

I would think Bud's team will still be their top team. The 93 team will be fine at midget national as a single birthyear. Ive seen them play a few times, they have alot of talent. They probably wont win the league, but I would say they will have a shot at districts. They probably want to put as many 92s and young 91s on the Jr B team in order to prep them for Bud's team in 2 years. Im really curious as to what the make up of Bud's team next season will be. Most of their kids age out/graduate/leave for juniors or college, and most of the Jr B kids will be too old to play midgets. The minor team wasnt that good last year either, with really only 3 or 4 kids that can be contributors at the U-18 level.

some of that depends on what other clubs in the area have teams. with the graduation and transfer of some of the vfmm kids i would be suprised to see wally have a team next year. i would assume mercer would be back inthe league next year along with comcast. it should be interesting to see how it all works out.
