Thats awesome!! For the most part it appears referees now understand what is supposed to be called. Working together with the coaches is starting to take shape for the betterment of the game. Food for thought. The new standard of play really exposed some referees who were known to be terrible in the past. Their lack of effort is now greatly exposed. It turned out to be a double edged sword that exposed poor coaching and poor officiating. By now you would think everybody should know what is expected and the teams should be in tune as long as the officials and coaches maintain their consistancy.

My son's Midget Minor AA team played the American Eagles for the second time this year. The first time the Eagles were short benched because 3 players & the coach were suspended for excessive penalties. The second time the Eagles had 7 players suspended (& the coach). Apparently they had 50+ penalties in their prior game, between the 2 teams. Some people can't learn, it appears.
