Four teams from DVHL and four teams from NJYHL. Unlike last season when the NJ league was slightly stronger, I would guess the DVHL will be the stronger league this year.

And your right... should be a real battle for Districts although the lower half of the league will probably be quite weak. Should be interesting to see how the league is split. Given the number of teams you are likely to see two divisions and the winner may come from the weaker of the two.

By my count their should be ~17-19 teams but could be as many as 22 in the league. They include:

1. Quakers1
2. Quakers2
3. Warwick1
4. Warwick2
5. Ducks1
6. Ducks2
7. Ice Dog1
8. Ice Dog2
9. Ice Dog3
10. Haverford
11. Exton Kings
12. Reading Royals
13. York
14. Glaciers
15. Blazers
16. Blast
17. Wissahickon
18. Delco
19. Lancaster

Valley Forge, Old York Road, and Hershey also projected AA teams but I don't see how they could support one. Delco and Lancaster may also be a stretch. The challenge will be the new rule in place this year which requires that if you have two or more teams at the U16 or U18 levels that one has to play AA and one A; although I do believe you can still petition down.

My list has 17. Exton, Glaciers, Blast and Wissahickon are not on the list. Hershey and Cap City are.

Ah, memories. Hopefully some more rowdy 18UAA players get on these forums in the coming months to keep things interesting.

Don't try and tell me Mandell and I didn't entertain you fellows. Big Grin

Yeah the Blast 18UAA will be stronger this year than last year. Thanks to the addition of some very good players and many returning players

If the Hawks are 1/2 as good on paper as they were last year they should win the league easily and should be in the top 10 in the country.

Oh come on, snipe. You and I both know if the Hawks are half as good on paper as they were last year, not only will they easily win the DVHL, they will breeze through Districts, and then EASILY take Nationals without a loss. And let's not forget the dozens of wins over AAA teams in exhibition play.

Top 10 in the country? More like Top One.
