I read what you said about us being very talented and thanks for that. Then again, that really means nothing when you say we shouldn't compare ourselves to the top teams in the league and we accomplished nothing over the course of two seasons.

Yea, we didn't get to Districts, and yea, I do think we weren't as successful as we should/could have been. However, you say our accomplishments (in beating the top teams) meant nothing. In the grand scheme of things, they don't, unless you start comparing Haverford - York - Quakers against one another. Then you have to take individual games into consideration, at least, that's what I think, and that's the point I've been trying to make here.

Mardi gras: Glad we came to an understanding. Nice chatting with you.

Super snipe: Well, that's your opinion. Based on the skills and attitudes I saw in each of my teammates each week, I know for certain we (unfortunately) under achieved this year.

Hershey and Blast were garbage Mardi Gras, and I still really think that the MM would be the only AAA team in this area to give us trouble in a game compared to previous years the Jr Flyers were weak as was Mercer and team comcast was prob. one of the most undisciplined teams I ever played against, where do you play, and snipe once again you have no sense about hockey you idiot

Mandell,

You guys are warped. You came in 5th place. Why would you not be open to critisism? You are so offended by everyone talking about your team but bottom line is your play left you wide open for this and after all the talk what did you expect? We get it you were the best team but could not muster more then a 5th place finish. You should catch no breaks for that and feel free to call me an idiot to but we need go no further then your team's performance.

You are talking about beating AAA teams when you did not get it done at AA. I hope you do not wonder why you get no respect. Why should anyone give your team any credit? Because of who was one your team or because you are upset about the divisions? Looks like you were not the only team in that division..>Quakers and York had the same hand dealt and made more with it.

Howie, playing the role of the victim is not the best way to go thru life. Learn from your mistakes and do better next time.

Forget it all. The season is done, it's over. How the Hawks would have fared against AAA competition, the scheduling woes, etc... it's all irrelevant now.

I think, as a closing thought, we can all agree the Hawks 18AA were a damn good team that, arguably, should have done better this year. Why they didn't is/was open to speculation, but I think we've had enough of that for now. I stand by my belief that we could have been the best team in the league but just didn't get it done.

I believe, joehockey, we are deserving of some respect due to our performance against the best teams in the DVHL over the past two years and because of how we conducted ourselves on and off the ice week in and week out. We came in 5th in a league full of talent, and I'm proud of that. Of course I would have liked to have finished much higher, but don't tell me my team was deserving of no respect because of our "performance" when our performance was fine. We could have done better, yes, but we also could have done worse. If a few more breaks had gone our way, we might have made it to the top four. If a few more breaks had gone against us, we might have finished 6th or 7th. It's just the way hockey goes, and I don't see how you can dispute that. We proved ourselves as a high caliber team by beating and tying teams like York, the Quakers, the Blast, the Jaguars, Flyers Youth, and more. Don't tell me we are deserving of no respect. Of all the things said so far in this topic, that bothers me the most.

Again, I think we should close this chapter. I would honestly like to know how the Hawks are looking for this season, and how they will stack up against York/Quakers etc.

Thanks for the humor and the differing points of views, fellows. I've enjoyed it.

Understand Ice Dogs1 and Ice Dogs2 should be solid. Ice Dogs1 is a combination of their '92s from their two teams last year along with a couple new additions from OYR and Mercer. Ice Dog2 will be the '93 group from last year with a couple changes but they should be able to compete with the best at the U16 level right away.

Reading returns about 10 players from their U16AA team that won the DVHL and added a couple OYR players as well. They should be pretty well positioned to defend their title.

The Ducks1 team returns 14 players from their U16 team that finished second in the DVHL last year and have added a couple real solid players. They should contend for the DVHL title and may be the favorite in the District.

Quakers, Warwick and Kings will also be solid and should contend for a spot in Districts.
