Best coach in the area in my opinion when it comes to teaching skills and knowledge of the game down to the smallest detail is Jerry Domish. Ofcourse you and your kid have to be able to deal with Jerry.

BTW, GregMartin.
Mike Anderson is a very close second with Tri-State with his knowledge and respect he gets from both the kids and parents.
Mike has taken the Tri-State program a long way in a short amount of time without him having a rink at his disposal or the money of owning a organization like others. He also doesn't have a kid involved.
Mike has also recruited locally successfully despite all the parents and orgs in the area trying to keep this organization down.
1) You have parents/coaches who bad mouth it because they don't like Juniors. 2) You have people bad mouth it because the Atlantic District doesn't control it like other orgs and is also competition (taking revenue) away from Atlantic orgs. 3) You have parents who bad mouth them based on the dislike of the owner from things that happened back at VFMM Squirts. Who have no reason to bad mouth.
We (me and my son) believe in both Mike Anderson and the TriState Selects program and what it does to help hockey and young players in our area or my son wouldn't be playing there.

as well as the downfall of his ice rink...but that really has nothing to do with him being a good coach. i think the biggest reason for his team being a success was his ability to take the core of a team from squirt all the way through. other than that, just from hearing what players/coaches think of him, he is definitely a better than average coach

Crank,
Our 91 VFMM team used Jerry for years for his skill teaching and tough/hard working practices. Our team even shared practices with his 89 team for a winter. He teaches so many little things most coaches can't even dream about teaching. Some kids didn't like the hard practices and would come down with the Jerry Flu once in awhile. Some would come to practice and after being warned would be thrown off the ice by Jerry for lack of effort and concentration.
We actually used Tracy Feridan for power/speed skating and Jerry was used for hockey skills, etc. Although we did use Jerry for power/speed skating also.
