That same tournament, check out Milwaukee's Jr Admirals team - they lost 8-0, 13-0, and 10-0; then forfeited the last game, which went down as a 9-2 loss. Those were the only goals they were credited with in the tournament.
Hawks won the 18AA Xmas tourney at Iceworks. Quite obviously it was no Honeybaked, but the Little Flyers 16AAA are usually a fast and challenging team, and a skilled 18AA from Southern California came up to play and went down to the Hawks 4-3 in the championship.

If the Ice Dogs get in they will have earned it. It looks like all their remaining games are on the road and some of them against some tough teams including The Blast, Warwick, Quakers 1, and Haverford.
Honestly, I am glad we are not losing but the ties are getting absolutely out of hand.
Sat 1/5 Hawks - 4 Flyers Youth - 4
Sun 1/6 (League) Hawks - 3 Quakers - 3
Makes us (Hawks) 11-2-5 in third place with 27 points, Quakers and Blast with 29 each sit ahead, though the Hawks and the Blast have played one more game than the Quakers according to the DVHL standings.
It's really going to come down to the wire.
My overall record (which includes all the games starting with a preseason tourney at the Pond where we tied the Ducks a few times) has us now at: 25-7-8-1, with the one at the end coming from an overtime loss in a tournament.
We have more ties than losses. It's a good time.

Correct, they gave us that one at the end of my overall record, an OTL in the tourney semi-final I believe. Kinda pointless to have it separate but what the hell.

You're exactly right Snipe. They should have just left all the teams in the 1 division and let them play each other twice. There has been some great hockey this year in the DVHL 18AA and the more games played would have made it even better.
It's true that all the 18AA teams should have played each other twice. There is little doubt that based on winning percentage of the teams in the two divisions that Bethlehem and Hershey have a significantly easier schedule. (There are only three teams with winning percentages in the West Division.) A big problem is the second 18AA teams. It's a joke: the two second 18AA teams have winning percentages of 20% and 9%. Remove those teams and you have a much more reasonable game schedule with real integrity.

Who cares whether I count a preseason tournament game as an OTL or L? What difference does it make either way? This way, I can say we have more ties than regulation losses. Good points about the schedules though.

It is going to come down to the wire between Hershey and Haverford, both teams have tough scheduels, I think Hershey has four tough games where we (Hawks have three tough games counting Hershey York and Ice dogs) I think it will come down to the Hav. vs. Hersehy game which is in Hershey.
